Accuracy: 0.42 vs 36 (T28)
Allmost same pen 300 vs 297
Gun is better on T28 as a TD often shoots from range.

with having 6500 batles in T28, I would certainly rate TS-5 as the better of those two. Difference in DPM is massive, fast heat, better frontal armour that lets you push forward and better mobility. Paired with new MM when tier 10 MM is not that common lets TS5 dominate and carry much more than T28.
T28 can snipe a tiny bit better but if you want to snipe take S1, Skorp,.... Or just get WZ-120-1G FT which is imo better than both T28 and TS-5 due to much higher flexibility

tl;dr: in any way that actually matters premium is flat out better as is the case for 90% premium tanks released in last 2-3 years, some being better than any of same tier counterparts...cough...lt432...cough
If you sniping with either of these tds you doing it wrong, get s1 instead.
That being said, they both slow turretless turds that have no armor the moment enemy slams that 2 key so if you just looking for some premium that does not need to specifically be American td I'd pass on that one.

T28 has the edge I recon, Armour is similar my problem with the new one is it uses HEAT as its premium round.
I just think HEAT and an inaccurate gun will be a problem

It don't, t28 is a turd, the premium is a newer turd

What do you think guys? What kind of gameplay you would recommend?

well...even if is WAY better in terms of balance than last moronic pure P2W releases is still on par with standard T28 if not even a bit better
what that means??
exactly no reason to keep T28 anymore if you get this TS5....
i mean really....accuracy for T28 in exchange for EVERYTHING else in gunhandling??
better power for T28 in exchange for BOTH speeds increased on TS?
1 degree to right for gun arc you consider an advantage..?? ![]()
a bit of shell velocity for T28 in exchange for excellent dpm for TS ??
armor still better on TS due to stronger structure and only 1 cupola vs T28 wich is paper vs p2w ammo and 2 cupolas...
looks like simly all exchanges are in favor of TS5
like i said...is WAY better but still....not how premiums are suposed to be ! (making standard counterparts usless !!)

I will hopefully get one thanks to the marathon (which is more doable than the last one, so kudos for that), but tbh I don't expect to play it much. Slow turretless TDs are not suitable for frontline, highly situational in randoms and, frankly, really boring to play. I expect this to be mostly a dust collector. On the positive side, however, I like the fact that the tank actually has weak spots that 'deserve' the name. The TS-5 looks like an oldschool premium to me, which is great. Wargaming should never have deviated from that design philosophy for premium tanks.
If I absolutely had to play this, I would probably try sniping open maps (gl with that - it's not a good sniper) or go full assault gun in city maps (and pray to meet hapless low-tiers or tomatoes who have not heard about the vulnerable lower plate or commander's hatch). If this does not sound like fun, it's because it isn't.

Sorry but ...
- accuracy - meaningless, aimtime ... very important and the TS-5 has the upper hand here
- same pen but the TS-5 has HEAT ... fast-ish HEAT actually; great for some sidescrapers, or any tank that relies on autobounce .... hello Ikea tanks. ![]()
- T28 has to shoot from range, the front is paper for 230mm of pen or more, but TS-5 actually has fantastic upper part armor
TS-5 is overall stronger, but that ain't saying much tbh.

This reminds me, last night i was finishing up the 50 100 grind, when the enemy team was pushing like crazy in one of my last games in that tank.
I hug the wall to stay arty safe and 'his buddies behind him' safe and then put 2 shots in his lower plate on approach, and 4 in his left cupola ... i ended up farming his entire HP (1500) while his team sat there .... 14s later, dead t8 armored td to paper heavy.
We won that game, by a hair.
