Rule 7:  don't bother with cover. If they can red line you, they seem to be able to hit you with the same frequency no matter how much cover you're behind.

Isn't that just the exact opposite? If they can see you, you aren't behind cover. So take cover so the enemy can't see and shoot at you.

No not at all, when I first started playing I was all about 'the team' but you soon realise you get nowhere fast, your a solo player or platoon and all that matters is you, it's the best way to maximise your xp wether the team wins or loses.

I dont even know how I play...

I just go somewhere shoot the enemy, kill the enemy, kill the other enemy = profit.

If you're exposing 1% of your tank, you should be 99x harder to hit?

Ehh, no?

Shell distribution isn't random. More shells will go towards middle of the aiming circle.

In the physics of the game, but not in RL. Which is my point exactly.

Write it out.

They are not my problem. = They're not my problem

Oh yeh, that makes sense, doesn't really do me any good though dood, how to explain. I'm in my 40's and still can't get my head around English though I am English, I just accept it, grammar, punctuation, I have no idea but I do have a Bsc in computing, computers make sense English doesn't. :D

They are your problem, they are the support for your team that tracks and crits heavies, winkles out campers and punishes groups who hug together,

If they die and your team fails to kill their arty your team is now at a huge disadvantage!

This artillery bigotry is for fools!

I have wasted alot of time protecting arty, telling them to fall back when death is imminent, most clickers appear to be oblivious of the minimap and the battle progression, if your arty and too dumb to move, not my problem.

1. Look at the map

2. Think about it

3. Adapt if you can be bothered

Are we talking about the game or real life?

Why don't you tell us something more interesting, what other rules you know about but didn't learn to apply in battle? :)

It is the game, but one would naturally expect most of it to reflect real life, especially the bit where it's hard to shoot someone who is behind a rock. Pretty important in a tactical shooting game. If you realise you can be pinged no matter how little of your tank is showing it will make you play the game very differently. New players should be told this, because it is not intuitive.

Do players realise this game has totally made up physics and no relation to reality whatsoever?

You can stop taking your imagination for a fact...

So, when I am on the rail tracks in Himmelsdorf and I hit a tank on the hill that I could only see the turret machine gun of, it's my imagination? I think it happened. Many more times than it should have.

Because it's a game, it's all made up by computer nerds, you don't really think you can actually learn anything about armoured warfare by playing this nonsense do you?

Well it's reasonable to expect that cover would have considerable benefit in a shooting game. The game is supposed to be modelling  dumb projectiles, not laser guided missiles.

No. But even in most shooting games, hiding behind a rock makes you harder to hit.
