Hi folks,

Is it worth grinding through the incredibly painful AT-2 to get further along the tech line or is the whole exercise a complete waste of time? My skill level doesn't warrant looking past tier 6 or 7 at the moment so I really would like to know if the next two are worthwhile or is this pain I am experiencing all for nothing!!

Thanks for the feedback.

AT2 is great!

Ok, it's slow,  and you might find that boring, and the whole line is like that.

But it isn't bad.

I know it "used" to be great but how the hell do you play it now? Especially with only 75 damage and 110 pen against Tier 7... :(

I've had a couple of ok battles in it where i've found a place to sit that is close enough to do damage but I'm not easily outflanked. Outside of that... pretty bad. Any tips knowing that I can be penned by anything and everything at less than 100 metres and I can't pen them if I sit back at more than that.. other than use prem ammo :). Alll help much apprectiated.....

Oh, I really don't mind slow... I love the Matilda and am getting better in it every day.

when they nerfed the commanders hatch it did make it a little not so worthwhile

however I take mine out still so I say its worth it

As I said, too slow for me.

But it wasn't painful to grind through.

The AT-7 and AT-8 are actually above average for their tiers and relatively better than AT-2 now after the remake

The Tortoise is the strongest tank in the line, AT-7/8 share the second place.

I also hated the AT-2, mainly because you're an armour focussed tank in a very HE spam environment, with 105 derps everywhere and arty hitting you for half your HP because balans.

AT-8 is really good imo, unsure if worth the AT-2 suffering but still a very good tank. Much better gun and armour for the tier, and many people have forgotten that the cupola is now 152mm so they're not quick to shoot prem at it despite needing it for reliable damage.

Was great, but then again back then the AT-8 wasn't (as good as it is).

Camo as the first crewskill for it? Intuitively, I think I'd choose offroad driving and repairs instead. :amazed:

Well, it does give you a few extra meters of not being spotted yet, so reaching a comfortable fighting location might be a bit easier.

It is a waste of time for sure.

Better play a line that you find more enjoyable.

Nah,it's bad. Unless you platoon.

Very easy to flank or circle, ultra weak in the open. The armor sure is good against alot of things, until they start spamming spec ammo. There's also lots of derp guns on the tier and that isn't exactly pleasing. AT 8 is kinda trash - a heavy without a turret, and a weak gun. AT 7 is okay, you can also go full bonkers with 57mm and full gold autoloader. AT 15 is trash. It's slow, unarmored, and can't trade at all. Tortoise is the real gamechanger, and the Badger is also great.

Tier IX and X have monster DPM, although the tier X is pretty rare in the battlefield.

Still, they are pretty rare on the battlefield, not sure why though.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I will continue to take the little breeze block out and see what I can do. Looking forward to getting further up the tech tree!!
