So i've been struggling in WoT lately, being punished for making mistakes as i tried to play aggressively, and so i decided to try a different approach at how i play this game.

Here is a replay of it. Just quickly go through it on x8 speed.

And after this game i've asked myself a question. Is it ok that gameplay and design of some maps literally encourages and rewards afking? And how did we came to such pathetic state of this game?

If you won by AFKing it's because the other 14 people did your work for you. No map encourages AFKing.

Depends. I did LT-15 for the Obj leaving the keyboard and made coffee. Still got assist when I came back.

And how do these maps give you better results when you are AFK as opposed to when not?

Doing nothing for half of the game let's me to wait that part of battle in which my particular tank is 100% useless, saving hp and sanity.

Prokhorovka scouting in a nutshell. Such an exciting gameplay.

arty, td's crapmap design.. maps are all designed to help campers and passive players.. you play agressive you get hit by arty or td's sat at the back of a map (
because wg always include bushes at the back of maps for these idiots) WG basically went to keep the lowest common denominator player happy. As I've always said update one just polished a bit shiny turd.

Most of my games these days are with 3 arties because being stunned all game is so much fun and 4 or 5 td's who don;t move from the handy cover wg place at the edges of map.

Being in a defensive position is the best way to win the game in randoms, because people are often impatient. Knowing when you can be aggressive and defensive makes a great player.

Standing in a defensive position and being of no support to your team whilst you do that, or whilst you could do something better means I need to play for you. I don't mind that. But I cannot possibly play for the 14 other players at the same time, hold 3 flanks in a paper-tank at the same time and many more such things can be said.

If you want to improve at the game, just try to 3 mark things, it'll push you to do as much as you can without taking risks that outweigh the reward. Set a goal and go for it. It's fun and you'll surprise yourself.
