The Green arrow increases the speed of the tank 25 + 
The
red arrow speed in normal mode. 
Nice idea I wish to apply;).

Faster on the road, slower off road. Like in real life.

Yea, I can dig that. OTOH, the current speeds are pretty ridiculous for current map sizes. There could be more drastic changes of speed and manouverability in regards of terrain, but I'd probably keep the listed speed on roads and reduce offroad by 10-20%, ofc taking into account the weight/track size ratio in addition to p/w.

 

Sadly current maps aren't really very good for such mechanics and in every case too small.

Yeah, something like that would be nice. If logistics and materiel transport was a thing in the game, roads’d be a really important strategic thing, too.

This exists in game already.

 

There are 3 terrain types.  Hard, medium, and soft.

 

Most terrain in game is medium though, soft is used for bogs and sometimes under water, hard is paved areas.

The idea is very clear, the speed on the roads in the map increases, and if you get out of the way the tank will be in normal speed,
I'm getting the swamp out of the idea because it reduces the speed but the way it does not increase the speed why? 
There are no impurities like normal life.
If you want a realistic game, do not make the swamp reduce the speed and the roads do nothing.

Wargaming decided that all tanks should go way faster than what they are supposed to go because of the 'better gameplay experience'.

I think they buffed most tanks way to hard. Tanks shouldn't be able to go 55kmh and turn at the same time.

Even the T95 goes 20kmh instead of the historical 13.

It took me time to understand what was the intention of the OP.

 

REAL TERRAIN RESISTANCE. Tanks going faster on roads and slower offroads.

 

I completely agree with you, roads should be much more important tactical points, now they are just in maps for decoration.
