can the above mission be completed within a platoon with all members stats counting or does only my stats count towards it ,finding it difficult as dont have top tier vehicles  only mid tier lights       thanks for any answers

You're on your own there. And yeah, without above-tier-7 scouts it's difficult. Especially because you need also a decent team, and those are hard to come by. :( Well, a 'toon would help. :)

Been trying this mission in my LT's for months but the superzoomie wheeled vehicles have killed any chance of making enough spots to complete it.

All missions are now solo. As they removed the 2 platoon missions each set had. And it's not impossible with a tier 6 if you focus the equipment and skills to bump up the camo and view range as much as you can. But it can still be tricky even with a good round with the current MM. As it doesn't give you +2 that often, and more equal tier games. Thus you might have to play for way longer to pull them off. As you more or less need a +2 game to increase the chances. As the higher the MM, the more total enemy HP you can spot.

The trouble with all of the spotting AND damage missions is not only your abilities, but the HP pool of the enemy team. You have to be lucky as well as good to pull it off in lower tiers.

I found the first LT-15 incredibly frustrating but did it eventually on Karelia. The main HP on that battle came from spotting a Maus or E100 for full HP as I recall. I'm pretty sure that it was in the AMX 13 90 (as a tier VIII)

This was the second LT-15 http://wotreplays.eu...owjay-amx_13_90 You can't watch it as it's too old. Note that it's only up to tier IX, not X.

LT-15 for the StuG is stupidly easy, it can be done no problem with a tier 4 light and a little bit of patience

For some it is.

For the OP it isn't.  Cest La Vie.

Before I actually unlocked this quest I had some good runs (with T4 or T5 lights, mostly Luchs, Leopard and AMX ELC bis), but now I actually arrived at the guest its not going that great, but I came close a few times already, new MM is better for many things but not this quest.

In my experience (but might be that I just function better this way) a passive scout style, only moving to avoid being spotted or when ground is gained, has best chance to get 3000.

Try to keep your finger from the fire button and let others do the damage (free shot when your sure you won't be spotted are only shots you should take).

I guess what you need is a +2 match in a good spot map (not those small ones) with only a few (or none but you) lights/rushing meds, some arty/TD and a match reasonably balanced (stalemate provides more spot damage).

And allot of patience getting it :P

Good Luck!

Yep, it used to be easier when the scouts still had their scout MM (+4, I miss you so :() so there were enough hitpoints around for some delectable spot assists.

I've done the requirements in a tier 3 with 75% crew...

Well, except for the minimum tier one...

The later missions are harder,  but the Stug one isn't really hard at all.

I actually found it easier to get good assist damage games with the wheelies in the game. If you use terrain and cover well, they have to take ridiculous risks and usually die early, leaving one less light for you to worry about. The viewrange difference between lights and the wheelies means you can easily outspot them.

@OP, get a decent tier 6, 7 or 8 light and it should be pretty doable. The 59-16 and AMX 12t at tier 6, T71DA or WZ-131 at tier 7, AMX 13 75 maybe, at tier 8 the BC-12t, WZ-132 and lttb will not have a hard time doing it. Watch some videos to learn good active spotting runs and bushes to spot passivily from. 3k combined is pretty easy if you get the hang of light tanks.

If you want I can upload some replays from earlier today, didn't play great (pretty bad and unfocused actually), but still would've made that mission several times in a row. They might be of use to you as they aren't the kind of one in a million games, but just okay-ish games with good spotting runs and decent teammates who hit their shots.

And keep in mind that for lights, crew is love, crew is life. If you want to get consistent good results in a light you really need a good crew with viewrange and camo skills.
