.. only playing tanks I enjoy from now on, almost entirely consisting of premiums with very good crews. I'm tired of grinding really bad tech tree tanks and often being powerless to make a difference in a sub-par tank that is just free-xp bait. I asked myself today why I do it and my answer was I like to make ''progress'' in a game but I can't deny that my premium tanks are far more fun most of the time.

One of the things I've noticed when playing against really really good players who are blue or purple on XVM is that you never see them in a shoddy tank, they're never in a Churchill GC, TVP VTU, STA-1 or T32 - they're always in something like a Skorpion G, e25 or some OP obj. 555blyad. I would say they play those tanks because they have fun but I've encountered enough of these players now to notice they're the high-stress and ragey types who more often than not end up on my blacklist for throwing tantrums.

Anyway I think when my premium time runs out in 3 or 4 days I'm gonna set a few tanks as primary and only log in to play them each day for the 2x, those tanks will probably be Super Pershing, Skorpion G, Krupp WT, Ram II, KV 220-2, Pz B2, Tiger 131 and M46 Patton. Wow took you 8+ years to realize you actually want to avoid craptanks? Well, I guess better late than never.

Clearly you never met me when I was playing either of those three (though admittedly, only 8 In the STA, but I did play the STA-2 A fair bit to make up for that). A waste of time in hindsight, since I had no interest in the M103 or E5 And quickly found out I didn't like the M103 And sold it, and the STA-1 Was an even weirder choice that I can only believe was because I didn't want to waste the fairly decent crew I had for Japanese mediums. Those guys are now in the O-Ho, so atleast they finally went someplace useful. :P

TVP VTU Was kinda worth it but kinda also not. I found that towards the end I wasn't as big on the T 50 And while I now own the T 50/51, I don't play Tier X.. so.

It took me 2 years, see back in ye olden times when only super-cool beta testers like me played this game, WG declared over and over that premiums were not more powerful than tech tree tanks and that was largely true. You could rock on in a tech tree tank and generally do pretty well in it. Then I took a 3 year absence and came back to a whole new meta of things like the defender, e25 and corridor maps with convenient shot blockers everywhere. Being a righteous man who took people at their word I didn't believe that prems were OP until I actually got my hands on a few of them at tier 7 and 8 (edit: which was fairly recently)

I had a CRT up until 3 or 4 years ago if that counts.

And people ask me why I have bought so many premium tanks? I figured out that ages ago

If I wanted to have fun I'd be playing something else like Xcom2 or Darkest Dungeon. No, what I'm doing is minimising stress and frustration in a game I'm addicted to (for now, I eventually take breaks)

If you have an addiction, I would suggest you visit a medical professional. No type of addiction is OK for a person even if its just about "computer game"

Obviously unicums aren't going to play craptanks in randoms. T6 is "cheap" enough to free XP to so no need to play T1-T5.

T6-T8 are played in TB/Skirmishes.

I haven't grinded tanks in ages. During this year I've grinded the Cent 7/1 and Conqueror (ongoing). I play thanks that I enjoy. T9-T10.

I continue to grind lines in every tree for both missions- more capable vehicles for damage/spotting, and in case I find a true gem that suits me. I'm often surprised by the tanks I was never really interested in as much as I'm disappointed by those I was aiming to buy.

In addition, things like the Deathstar and Foch becoming Premiums means I'd like to keep my options open.

I do want to settle down and play my favourite keepers. It will happen. One day.

1st wave of broken premiums was with 112/PantherM10 buffs. So, that is like ~2 years now? Anyhow, just play meta tanks and that's it.

So... What's stopping you from doing just that?
I see no problem with playing what you enjoy.
It's a game not a job

It does seem somewhat strange that someone is surprised that players who both care about their stats and understand which tanks give an advantage tend to play those tanks.

So basically strong and overpowered tanks are the most fun to play while bad and weak tanks are the least fun to play... well... I never knew! Einstein's got nothing on you mate.

I'm not a good WoT player, but in games where I'm good I usually don't play with OP stuff, I indeed think for a good player playing with Turds and still carrying is much more fun than doing it with OP tanks.

Never seen what's the fun on stomping noobs or playing a game on easy settings.

Looking at your tank choice.... are they actually OP enough? to have  fun :)

Tiger 131 and the Krupp WT.... are they even mediocre?
