Just some story from a random game I wanted to share:
I was in SU-152 the tier 7 derp td and while countdown my teammate spotted my 3 marks. He praised me for this heroic accomplishment and was generally amazed because he had never seen 3 marks on this tank. Here enters a guy in rhm borsig with his wisdom - he basically said there was no need to congratulate me because 3 marking SU-152 is - and I quote - "ez". Those 2 guys kept going about it for a minute. I did not say a single word to any of them ( maybe I should've at least thanked for the nice words to the guy )
Anyway, I was curious about the dissmisive guy and after the battle I checked his record. Boy oh boy was I in a bit of surprise. I want to note at this point that there's nothing wrong with him and I'm not hating on him or his stats, it's just super weird to me from psychological standpoint. Not only he's never played SU-152, he has not a single 3 marked tank, not even in the most played ones. A whole bunch of 1 marks and 2-3 tanks with 2 marks.
Don't know about you, but I feel like it's a bit funny there are people trying to flex to a bunch of random people. The need to impress strangers with big fat lies is even beyond funny - it's kind of tragic.

I don't have any tanks with three marks and if I see a teammate with three I always congratulate them.

Really? You have never encountered this behavior before? It's pretty much the human condition aka "The Green Eyed Monster" whereby one person gets praised for an achievement while an onlooker takes a dislike to it since they themselves also would enjoy that same level of praise though they lack the adequate accomplishment so pretend such things are mediocre, don't deserve praise and if pressed on the matter, just blurt out that it's sad and reflects that person as to having no life being the only reason for accomplishments. This is common in all walks of life, I feed off it and it makes me smile.

Again, really? Typical behavior really, from school yard kids to any politician. This is all common behavior I'm more surprised that you are surprised.

Just the normal jealousy. I have gotten some salty comments from people who has never 3-marked anything. Its either " ez if you redline snipe with food and full gold", "I have 3-marked lots of TX on my RU/other account", or "I PLAY FOR TEAM" (with a 46% WR). Just ignore it or turn of chat and/or PMs from people outside your Friendlist.

Congrats on the mark though! :)

Maybe he's got a 2nd account that he only uses for 3 marking tanks?  Probably this one:https://en.wot-life....ltu-503233015/ :D

Yeah, in real life it's pretty common and when I witness it it's also facepalm worthy. I'm not surprised about it happening IRL. But here it's about about a couple of pixels on a barrel which I find worthy of a mega super duper facepalm. How insecure you have to be to lie about yourself in virtual world? ( No, you don't need to answer this Q, it's a rhetorical one ).

See, that's something I personally could never do. Lying about something to make me look better, or make someone else look worse...

I could not live with the lies I'd spread. The guilty conscience would be too heavy, and I'd go insane.

I just don't understand people who are like that.

sounds quite familiar, the ammount of times i got called;

-a redline bot

-that i bought marks

-cheating to get marks

-full gold noob to get marks

-hurr i can do better than you/you only mark tier 5/i have more MoE so ur n00b

usually ignoring those people anyway, or replying with something short like "TOP KEK"

and thanking the people who are nice and praising, having nice teammates is always a nice thing

to OP gratz on MoE btw, su152 being a lovely derp tank :great:

I don't think i've ever gotten 3 stars on my tanks, thats how bad i am. Also congrats anyways, i remember how fragile that bloody thing was even before the major balance changes and map removals (when getting one-shotted by arty was a thing and having more than 4+ arty could be a thing).

Wish they had a sort of thing like that in world of warships. Also like tanksyouverehmuches said, i don't understand why people do it either, but then not because i would be guilt of saying it (well not to the same degree) but i find it would be a highly illogical and irrational thing to say regardless.

oh well.

speaking of easy to three-mark stuff

arty should be very easy according to some people,
