Arty In This Tier Is Too [edited]powerful, I'm Getting Real Tired Of Getting Killed By 2 [edited]arties That Can Continuously Shoot You Without Any Breaks. Fix Splash Damage, Fix Splash Radius, Remove The Stun Mechanic For Good. 


Sorry, I'm just too frustrated with this piece of trash.

I didn't even think it would make it more valid by writing it in caps, so your comment to that is invalid.
Well every single arty at tier 3-7 needs rework. Arty just need rework in general.
That I couldn't find, so I just complained here.

The low tiers are good ones for practicing how to avoid arty, as most low tier arty players are very bad. Be aware of arty at all times. When you're spotted, assume arty will get you and find hard cover, or jiggle about. The slow shell speed of arty makes it difficult to focus on a tank moving unpredictably. You only need to turn left or right after the arty player presses the button for the shell to land beside you rather than on you, and splash and stun is minimal at low tiers. At mid and higher tiers, arty players get a lot better, and the shells more powerful, so you need to have practiced the art of not getting hit. You'll need this skill against invisible TDs too, or you'll be cursing them as well when they take a massive chunk of your HP with one hit. If you learn the right techniques, it's only in a heavy that you should really and routinely fear arty. That's why heavies head for city buildings or high rocks. But then, most heavies are shell-magnets, and at lowish tiers, they don't have the fantastic armour to bounce stuff like higher tier heavies. That's why they have to learn side-scraping early on. So basically, find hard cover, and when spotted, hide until unspotted, then move. You can be hit from any angle, not just above.

 

Oh, and if you don't have a commander with sixth sense yet, assume you've been spotted and hug hard cover more. And build up those crew skills as fast as possible.

 

EDIT: I've just noticed that you've played over 15000 battles. So I guess crew skills aren't a problem. When you say low tiers, which tiers are you actually referring to?

Higher tiers are being 'reworked' but others not. 

Two of my favourite lower tier Artie's at T6, M44 and Bert, are being left alone for now. 

Splash damage at low tiers is tiny Bert doesn't have any, poor Bert....

Apart from one specific tier V arty, low tier arty is woefully undepowered.  It takes about five minutes for you to get fully aimed and even then you have an aim circle about the size of a map square on Ensk.  If you get really lucky and hit you might see damage in 3 figures once in a while.

 

Anyone who thinks it's OP hasn't played it.

Hummel is tier VI, not what most would regard as low tier.

 

Tiers  II to IV and most tier V are terrible.  I know there are a lot of Bishop fans out there but I didn't find that any good either, too big, too slow, too short range.

 

There is one tier V which is worthy of complaint, and that one is only because of WG's no nerf to premium policy so that isn't going to change.

The tier 4 German arty is a bit of a beast from memory but it’s only as good as the person playing it ... or the targets it’s looking at ;)

3 arty per team is a bit much imo. Arty doesn’t need nerfing (in general). What would help those that continually find themselves being arty magnets might benefit from a max of 2 arties per battle instead. However as this change is unlikely all that can be done is to adjust your play accordingly.

Yes low tier arty is pretty awful for gameplay since tanks have low amounts of HP compared to the damage arty does. Low tier arty should do half of the damage they do now.

Leave arty as it is, but educate players so that they no longer feel the need to be so toxic.  This could have a positive knock on effect in the real world.  WG saves the day.  Yay.

I don't know about the tier IV but whenever I play some low tier tonk and there's a Grille on the enemy team there's a 95% chance it will be the death of me.
