WG is is doing it all wrong with arty, instead of using fantasy and imagination and giving arty new ammotypes like flashbang, smoke, riotgas, canister, discodanceammo(fornite) and AP etc they are just nerfing what they got. With WG thinking Game of thrones would never been a thing. Wg developers should watch more Macgyver!

And how would any of those fix arty even the slightest?

Hello all,

 

WG says they are going to nerf arty stun because of continuous stun from different arties on the same target. Why not reducing the number of arties per random battle to 2 or even 1, instead of nerfing arty?

If you have only 1 arty per team in random you dont have any problems of repeated stun...

 

For the argument of increasing the time arties have to wait for a random battle if the max number per random battle is 1, I just say that in FL arties wait from 3 to 7 minutes to get a battle and I dont see any decrease in arty numbers.

Premium tier 8 right?

 

Then again considering how smoke works on FL on large maps. How do you think that will work on corridors with no recon plane to spot behind it. Or flank spot for you. Arty pop one down on the banana road, HT's just ending up sitting there for 60 seconds doing nothing until the smoke clears.

Even if it's 2... focus and overlap can still occur with stuns. And with one every game? Then I suspect we would see a different issue. The gap some SPG's have in terms of balance. Enemy has an M44 that can cover both flanks as spotted and farm damage just fine. Your FV304 does 40 damage more so then 400, can't cover both flanks. Has no stun and thus enemy crew don't lose view range and ROF like your team does etc. So then a new issue has to be sorted. As the nerf now, is just on stun overlapping with the exception of 2 guns. Not balance as such.

Arty was fine before the stun feature,. I would rather take 1 shot ap than 24/7 stuns

Indirect fire is never fine. Haven't seen a game where it has worked gameplay wise. fe. Battlefield removed it cause people hated it.

Well in a way it's correct. They should rather remove arty and give LTs consumables like in FL or reduce them to 1 per side. That would be a lot better.

Keep arty in the game keep the current max of 3 so you do not always have arty in games.

I get plenty of games with no arty and I cannot say it gets players off the red line and moving to attack.

Players camp all the time arty has little to do with increasing or decreasing it.

If you reduce the number of SPGs per battle you make it more likely you will see them.

 

Get stunned then remove the stun get stunned again then remove it again/

All they really need to do is add more defenses against stun and HE damage using equipment and consumables.

 

New ammo types fine I have no problem with say arty having smoke or incendiary rounds.

Covering an attack or burning down forests and wooden structures great.

They should just remove arty, period. Giving LTs consumables as in FL would just keep things as they are, what would be the difference if you get hit by a clicker or an LT called artillery strike? This game simply doesn't need indirect fire, it's the one and only gamebreaking mechanic in it.

LOL its amazing tank players yapped arty got changed  arty players adapted the tank players yapped  again the only constant is the yappers are unwilling to adapt or even possibly  unable to adapt !
