Tiny weakspots that 90% of the players don't know about and that you have the chance to hit or even aim at only once in a blue moon.

There are way more annoying ones...

How about the 'ears' on the turret of the e75. THAT is an annoying one.

You're fine if you don't flip your tank.

This so called "weakspot" on the back of T29 is really pissing off. I mean...you shot with any kind of ammo, but still will ricochet. It totaly doesnt make any sense. Armor there is like paper, there imaganited crew, engine. Turret armor isnt in front, but still ricochet. Wtf? DEVs, please, can you fix this. That auto-bounce from such angle and that armor, which is like paper, damn. Totaly doesnt make any sense.

With bigger angle you can even penitrate back of the T29s turret, which armor is almost 3 times thicker than top of the back. Like....amm...what?

Try >120mm AP next time.

Instead of complaining about those weakspots, use them. Those are good designed weakspots, causing people to aim for hard to hit places surrounded by stronger armor. Add in some wiggling & shaking & you got one hell of a strong tank.

I drive the KV-4 often & part of what I do is tease people to shoot me by exposing weaker parts under difficult circumstances, so that they got a high chance of missing it & hit the stronger parts. Can't do that if its all strong armor & zero weakspots, because then people load the gold or run away from you, because there's no use fighting a tank you can't pen.

Edit: regarding the T29 armor, that weak armor on the deck is what most tanks got. But due to the angle, the overmatch rules come into play. meaning caliber plays a big role in whether you should shoot it or not.

HEAT: no overmatch rules, & no normalisation, so will always bounce when impact angle is 85 degrees or more. Can fail to pen too because of very shallow angle & lack of normalisation.

HE: thin armor, so moment you got a normal to big caliber gun, you can hurt the tank well on the deck.

AP/APCR: normalisation bonus (on point of impact, angle gets corrected a bit so shell has less armor to pen) + overmatch rules. caliber is more then double the armor thickness? Increased normalisation. Caliber is more then triple armor thickness, On top of the normalisation bonus, the autobounce angle (70 degrees for AP & APCR) gets ignored.

Due to the angles involved, shooting the tank decks is often best done from an elevated position (tall tank shooting low profile tank can also work). if not available, don't bother with it unless you got AP/APCR loaded & your gun caliber is more then triple of the armor. In the case of the T29 rear deck the gun has to be more then 114mm caliber to trigger triple overmatch to pen, else it'll likely autobounce due to angle involved.

What? I thought your armor was golden... :sceptic:

That E75 overmatch spot can be found on the Lowe, Tiger II, E50(M)...oh and the VK45.02B! I love when they crest the ridge all confident and I track&damage them until they die! :D

Can't say about Conqueror (looks like pixelshots) but E75 40mm side plate are indeed annoying. It reduce the tank sidescrape capabilities for no real reason...

Have no problem instead with the turret hears.

pz7 and vk k having some 200mm ish holes in mantlet aswell, can be annoying but not too prominent (unless vk k holes got fixed with the fairly recents buffs to some t10 reward tanks, havent played it for a while and tanks.gg model is fucked over)

I dunno how thick those plates were on the real tanks and the blueprints though...for all we know it could be a German design flaw only really becoming a flaw once WoT's overmatch mechanic is taken into account.

I mean that's a really well-angled slope. If a tank shell can bounce off the roof of a Lada, it should bounce off that too.

Complaining about conq. Armor haha.  Pls increase depression to -15 and pene to 450mm

Conq is one of the most op tanks ingame this shitter should get a lot more weakspots imo.

doubt those plates were any thick on blueprints aswell, suppose those plates only acted as structure plating/some protection against shrapnel and not actual plating to stop shells

considering older shells had more prominent shell arcs it shouldnt be hit in first place i suppose

do wonder if wg ever will buff those plates slightly just to make autoricochet at flat ground
