Only if your arta were preventing him from camping.

Edit: Replaced a word with a politically correct WG-approved one.

I'm trying to figure out what the problem is. He's obviously got a tiny forest to put between you and him. Your rear is sticking out so you're not fully bush-covered if you think nobody'd have been able to spot you. In all probability somebody else spotted you and he took the shot.

Replays provide more information to work with than static pictures.

Learn to use bush properly before crying on the forums. That guy probably spotted then moved back to shoot without being spotted. It's the intended behavior you should start to know that with 34k battles.

He's sitting in front of the bushes, don't see him? Right under the word "by"

The WZ killed the 40/43 who is the one spotted you. (That's why he can't be seen in the screenshot, look at the kill log). The Strv shot on the residual spot from the 40/43 (He's on the tracks).

Don't you know what is going on in battle or do you just want to moan coz you died?

Had the exact same issue yesterday with an Strv in that exact position, bushes are broken as all hell, got outspotted by an Strv who then killed me and still didn't get spotted. He had to be proxy spotted by the team, by basically another player driving into him and suiciding.

Had similar on Province, there was an E25 tucked in the corner of their base and despite him firing at me, I had to basically drive into him to spot him.

When you have to get to pretty much proxy range to spot something that is firing at you, then you know its a joke. Plus there is no counterplay to it, you just have to hope you have enough HP and guns to be able to suicide into these campers and be able to suicide into the right spots to proxy them. Its disgusting, someone that gives up all map control, plays no real part in trying to win the game, still holds all the advantages end game.

It's like the Type 5 for campers basically, if you want to camp in the base all game like an idiot, well now you get rewarded for it because it has been made absolutely stupidly forgiving.

Too many maps now basically favouring camping in or around base and not pushing, disgusting gameplay to promote IMO.

Working as intended, WG pampering to bad players by artificially inflating armour and map positions that do not require much knowledge or skill.

This kind of stuff should not be possible, to remain invisible at such a close range when firing is stupid.

I had the most amazing experience last week in my LTG. Tier 7. Ruinberg. Sat in a bush south side of the road (on the road) out in the field area to the east. Had literally 10 tanks all the other side of the road (literally on the road pretty much) lit up. I didn’t light up for a good minute (because I fired). Tanks were right on the proxy limit. Was crazy. I spent the whole time giggling and sweating. If spotted I was toast. But I stayed invisible. Absolutely brilliant. Pain in the butt if it’s against you mind.

Yes there are bushes that are broken, the whole spotting mechanics is hard to implement.

One thing that should have been made a long time ago. If you are double bushed and cannot be seen, then you shouldn't see anyone either.

I know exactly how he spotted & shot me, my complaint is that this is possible in the first place at should a stupidly short range.

Oh lemme fix that:

WG ain't Cyclops you know...

Also to be fair you're in a wheeled vehicle with terrible viewrange to begin with, and if that Strv is sitting in a double-bush location there's no way in babushka you'd spot him.

One explanation I never got is the following... and I'm talking 1 vs 1 here...

If a tank is double bushed, then you also are double bushed by default. i.e. you will have 2 bushes between you and the spotting tank, so my expectations is that they both spot each other by proximity.

To be fair, I think spotting and being spotted mechanics should work the same... so if you are double bushed, you shouldn't spot anything either.
