Another premium was released today on the RU server, today's micro patch!

The T-103 is really old, been lurking in the game files for 3 years now i think. After many nerfs, buffs and marathon speculations it went to the premium shop.

An old school TD that fires AP as standard and gold ammo like the SU-100Y. It got some armor on the turret, 8° of gun depression and a fully rotatable turret. Hits hard for 440 alpha and overall a pretty balanced tank. Price will be around 27 €.

Armor profile:

What's up dollface? :girl:

wow, that's been tested for years now. Along with that KV-4 TD they scrapped. I don't recall what the issues were with it early on. But when that balanced team said it was too broken. Something was not right.

Stats look like a Russian T-28 prototype to be honest, have to wonder when you have something like the Defender with 440 alpha why you'd want a TD with 440 alpha but way worse armour, dispersion etc. just for a bit more pen.

...With that turret traverse speed it might just as well be classified as turretless. :teethhappy:

15 degrees per second... for a full 360 degree rotation you'd need 24 seconds. :P

So is more or less a T-150 with better turret and gun. Feel quite powerful with that armour layout, especially as may be able to brawl too thanks to the box shape.

Well looking at some old stats vs now, the Turret had 100mm at the front before, so that along with aim time and dispersion buffs. But reverse speed, hull traverse and reload/dpm have all seen nerfs since the early tests.

I suspect the 100mm even with that gun would make it terrible for that role. But unlike the T28 the hull doesn't look to strong in the open vs it. I'll think I will pass and stick with the 122-44 and SU-100Y for my crew training.

No thanx  The space between the hull and turret  is a insta pen.

Than i thaught maybe hide that than...but than see that big cupola on top 60 mm  no thanx ...you have to hide 75 % of the tank.

Maybe it works in FL.

Mobility is way better than on the T28 though.

Compared to the Defender you don't just get significantly better pen, but also 30% more DPM, way better gun-handling, better mobility and significantly better viewrange. Of course Defender has way better survivability under fire, but that's all.

Doesn't seem too bad actually, except for that horrible turret traverse speed (even for a TD). Kinda like a heavily armored Charioteer or a T8 Conway.

The real question is if this means that a turreted russian TD techtree is actually coming.

LOL there are cruisers in WOWs with triple 203mm gun turrets that traverse quicker than that, there are 16 inch gunned battleshhips that almost have the same traverse rate.

That is horrible.

Does any turreted tank in the game have such a bad turret traverse rate? Fv4005, Maus and T110E4 are all quicker.

Gun handling is marginal considering Defender has better turret traverse and the movement dispersions are so close. DPM as well for a TD is meh, its less than a Caern, barely above a Skorp which packs higher alpha.

Mobility is still pretty trash due to those horrible ground resistances, I doubt it'll get to 40kph unless its going downhill, 1.44 on medium terrain is very bad.

All of it looks horrible to me.

Accuracy is meh for a TD, DPM is meh, alpha is below average, pen is average, mobility looks poor, horrible turret traverse, shell velocity is low and the armour looks completely pointless as the turret front is 220, mantlet is 230, it has a 60mm cupola and then a really high turret ring you'll struggle to hide that is pretty much auto-pen to everything it faces.

The T7 Scorpion as 12°/s, but not a real turret. All other TDs have at least 16°/s, and 18°/s are the standard for turreted TDs.

Mäuschen and Vk-100 / Mauerbrecher have the same 15°/s turret traverse.

While not quite as bad, 16-18*/s is pretty standard on non waffentrager-esque turretted TDs. Unsure why the T-103 needs it since even without it, it looks kinda poor.

Maybe there's some unexpected 2nd floor window hulldown spots it can abuse?

The hull is 100mm flat so it isn't going to bounce very much, even when angled.

-------

It looks so hideously ugly and I'm a big fan of hideously ugly tanks, but eh. 1250 HP pool with such a gigantic platform with lack of armor outside from the turret doesn't seem super good to me. It's seemingly more a 2nd line support TD than a sniper, but I don't know, it doesn't seem that great. It does however have pretty nasty penetration (looking at the stats on RU web page, they went back with the older stats). Standard pen is 257 mm (or something like that), and more notably the premium shell is an AP shell with almost 310 mm penetration. That's one nasty premium round, since it puts Skorpion G's already very good APCR to shame.

It also is considerably cheaper than your average tier 8 premium TD; at 7.2k gold it's worth 26-27 euros or so, making it the cheapest tier 8 premium TD.

It doesn't look great on paper but it does have some pretty interesting features like that penetration combined with a turret without having completely useless armor, so we'll see.

Penetration is 258/307mm AP, it's a pretty nasty shell when it hits!

It's Russian, but has better view-range on tier 8 then even the tier 10 TD's have.. strange. At least it has a HUGE profile so camo will be garbage.
