It's a single fixed skin, regardless of map....there's no option for alternate colours.

The gun isn't good. You have to press 2 way to much to be competitive and the gunhandling only starts to work with the usual crewskills, BiA and food. I have to say that I like the idea of having a Tiger at tier 6. It's also makes more sense in a historical perspective. The Tiger II should be at tier 7 for that reason. It's kinda funny, the T29 was developed to counter the Tiger II. But the T29 is at tier 7 and the Tiger II at tier 8...
The Tiger on tier 6 needs some better gunhandling, accuracy and pen to be more competitive. It has a tier 5 gun now. It should have the same penetration numbers as the M6 or Firefly. As a heavy, you almost HAVE to encounter other heavies frontally (it's to slow to flank, even if maps allow it) and if you are facing tier 8's, you don't stand a chance. Not even against some tier 8 mediums like the T54 prot or the RAAC.
On the other side, the turret became very trollish after it's buff. You can bounce a lot of tier 5, 6 and 7 shells with that 160 mm gunshield. The 131 has a smaller cupola than the Jap, so it's a viable ridgeline tank with 8 degrees of gundepression. I've had great games on maps like Sand River with it!
I 3-marked the Tiger 131 and the Japanese Tiger with pleasure. In the current MM tier 8 battles are less common and against tier 7 you will be doing fine with the occasional gold round. It could and should have a more competitive gun, but it's overall fun to play. And it looks amazing.
not so sure about its tier... i did very good matches with tiger 131 without need of anything the tank is good on its own

Well, I've played 140 games in the 131 and more than 300 in the Jap Tiger in the current and old MM. I have 3 marks on both. I can make it work, but in some games it relies on the 2-key. The ARL44 has over 200 pen, the Russians have 175 and the M6 has 160 pen. Premium pen well over 200 on most of those tanks.
For a tank with the role and reputation of the Tiger, it really needs more pen. Especially if you mention that is has worse alpha as the tanks mentioned above. It's compensated with DPM, but that doesn't mean anything if you can't pen your shots. It should have like 165 mm base pen and 215 mm on the special shell. Besides, the 88 also doesn't work on the Jpz IV. 148 is waaaay to less for a tier 6 TD.
The meta has shifted so hard, that the long 88 is almost viable for a tier 6 tank.

I like the 131, but nothing beats the gun of the VK45.03 at those tiers. I also 3-marked that tank. It's way more effective than the Tiger I at tier 7.
I can confirm, as I just re-bought it.
If you already have the tank you will be compensated for the value of the tank which was 3,900 gold and I received the BIA crew as well.
I will train my crew up in the tank (which I enjoy playing) use the boosters for this tank, and then retrain the crew to another tech-tree tank in the future.

Yes you can....myself and others have bought multiple tanks in the past (I think I've bought a total of 4 Cromwell B's for their BIA crews). However, WG doesn't always give the option, so the question is still worth asking.
I stand corrected then but I am sure I tried this one time on another tank and did not get a second brothers in arms crew and was miffed about it, frankly.

With the advent calendar ones there was a thing like that: when you bought them in-game for gold you only got the extra crew once.
Does some money from the sale of Tiger 131 go to the tank museum to help with the upkeep of it if so i am in
i am going to tiger day tomorrow so look forward to seeing it![]()
