So, the next belancing thread by me. Sorry folks ;-)

I don't play the Tiger or it's tier 6 aquivalents much or say anmore, so it has no importance to me at all. But yesterday (Tigerday) i did. And it felt awkward, cause anything did penetrate as well.

Tier 6 lights like Type 62/64 or even tier 5 meds like the Panzerkampfwagen IV H. And that happened, while i was nearly 45 degrees angled.

What i'm, trying to point out here is the following:

The Tiger was maybe the most feared tank in WW II, cerntainly the most known. It had no angled armor, sure. But it had a phantastic gun, which could destroy most others even before they got in range to penetrate Tigers as well. In WOT, these ranges are not there. But the Tiger is a heavy tank after all, and i think it feels stupid that everything comes through. Even while angled at max perfection.

Didnt you post that in the german section already?

Tiger I (H) is still quite good, especially tier-for-tier when compared with Tiger II

heck, I even see people doing an average of 1.5k and more with Tiger I.

It is no brawler, never was.

Decrease the ROF by 1 shell / minute.

Buff the aiming time from 2.7 s to 2.4 s.

Buff the Tiger P's ROF by 1 shell / minute.

Buff the Tiger P's aiming time from 2.9 s to 2.4 s.

Buff the Tiger II's aiming time from 2.4 s to 2.1s.

Buff the Tiger II's ROF by 1 shell / minute.

Yes!

But most folks don't speak german, thus won't look there ;-)

All i'm saying is: At least with angled front armor, it should be able to withstand same tier shells of light an mediums. And even a Pzkf IV Ausführung H!

I feel it's to weak in terms of using the armor given and the tier and class given.

Tiger I (H) is one of the better tier 7 tanks. You don't tank with your armor, you tank with your HP and brutal DPM. It's gun performance is great - anything you see will start to melt, and you can just shrug off loss of 500 hp no problem.

It just doesn't work like people want it to work. And it kind of attracts all kinds of attention because everybody wants to shoot a soft box with high HP pool. You're kind of like TOG with actual mobility.

Tiger I is fine, if you play it right; the in-game problems occur with Tiger II, but I'm pretty sure most people know that already.

Tiger I has glorious ROF/DPM, and is very accurate; it also has god tier view range. Don't play it as a brawler, and ignore anyone on your team whining that you aren't playing it like an IS - Tiger I excels at longer range.

The Tiger's WW2 rep is irrelevant to this discussion - it was obtained fighting things (in game terms) that are at least 1-2 tiers lower than it!

Huh? My Tiger l used to kill T-34's and M4 Shermans just fine. I don't see the problem.

Play it like tank destroyers. Basically red line bush camping.

Edit: I was joking. Don't actually red line ever. Play it from the second line.

I don't agree with people who say you should camp with it. I played it as a support when non top tier and tried to always find a hill to hump and use my fast reload to get aimed shots against enemies snaps. It worked fine for me. You don't really need a lot of time to do a lot of dmg in Tiger.

Everytime I see a camping german heavy it makes me facepalm.

I never played Tiger 1, but Tiger II's problem is not the gun. The gun is actually amazing. It's accurate, with great APCR pen. It lacks the punch of 122 mm guns but still it's good. With -8 gun depression which is very nice. The real problem is that horrible armor with horrible mobility.

You being good at a certain tank doesn't mean it isn't bad. But the Tiger I isn't bad imo. I don't play it cause I find its model ugly and repulsive. Yuck.

Going back to garage in roughly 3 seconds after getting spotted feels great then. Only good Tiger is invinsible Tiger. I am saying this cause most of time you won't be top tier. When top tier go ahead and go closer.

I would agree with you, if the TigerH had its 2011 stats and module/crew dimensions*, but that's not the case.

*Back in the old days(alpha, beta, first 2 years of release) people were (rightfully) complaining that the Tiger was too easy to ammorack and have its modules/crew dmged/injured, so, after some time, WG decided to shrink the TigerH's modules and crew members.

They are getting "rebalanced". In good old WG tradition of making the premium tanks better in almost every regard. Want a balanced Tiger 1? Better go with the tier 6 premium.

Will be the same with the Tiger II H premium.

Tier for tier, Tiger1 at tier 7 Is far better than the tier 6 Tigers.

As people say, it's in at least a tier higher than it should be

I almost forgot the whole "Butt Monkey of WoT" phase Tiger(s) went through. I guess Tiger II never grew out of it.

If you check my stats in it, you'll see I hardly went to garage in 3 seconds or whatnot. It was one of the first tanks I finished in greens back when still learning this game.

If you camp back, you'll just handicap your teams chances to win.
