Hello everyone

I would like yout to tell how would be the ideea of having a romanian premium tank in the game...

More specifically TR85-M1 The Bizon here you have some details   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TR-85

You can ask me everythig that you want to know about this tank, included you can search for yourself, and you will found out that isa good tank. Ithink that might be a tier IX vehicule.

Even if Romanian tanks are based on some of the game, this is produced 100% in Romania and I think that would be great to add it.

Thank you and I am waiting for your replies

No thanks. Let tier 9 and 10 premium tank free. And this tank is clearly too strong for tier 8.

Too new for the game. Too many new electronic aid (laser range finder etc) and I don't think it's a rifled gun is it.

So no it won't fit in the game as it is now.

At least he`s not asking for a romanian tech tree like so many before him. That`s a start!

Actually it has a rifled gun, the tank itself is just a T-55 and is literally trash compared to any modern MBT.

The question is why would we need a romanian T55? A premium tank for a nation that has no tech tree in the game? And to make a romanian tech tree it would mean to just put german tanks in lower tiers and russian tanks in higher tiers, and a fail to see the point of doing that...

Well.. that could actually make some sense. If you like playing WW2 German tanks and Soviet post-war tanks.

Mișto!:great:

I see no problem in a premium romanian tank. They can put it in the german tech tree or the soviet one, why not ? Hungary has 2 tanks in the german tree, same with swiss. Also Rudy was in the soviet tech tree even if it is polish.

Once you have a premium tank, you will then need to train crews with it. This appears to be a roundabout way for asking for a Romanian tech tree.

Okee so it is a rifled gun. Then I agree with the statement that we don't need a copy of the 55a wich in itself is a slightly different 54 in game.

Which leads you to wonder now that there actually is a Polish tech tree....:sceptic:

This was developed after copying a T-54 I believe. They dismantled the tank piece by piece. More or less as a joke, from where do you think the chinese got their idea of copying everything ?

WG could use something stripped of all the tech, an earlier stage of development. But it doesn't make much sense without a tank tree. That EU tree is long overdue. They could add a bunch of premium tanks in there. The Romanian tank  community is one of the larger ones. We could do with some love.

Oh brilliant.  One tank exists to hang a whole tech tree on and it is also too modern.

To modern for tier VIII. It would fit better in an EU tree at maybe tier IX or X.

EU tree would allow Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Switzerland, Finland and all the other nations who produced one or two unique tanks to have them all placed together in some kind of mixed tree. All these nations could not produce a normal tech tree without clone versions of other nations tanks, but as they each have one or two home grown designs, putting them all together might scrape together a tech tree from the most interesting ones. Plus it would keep some paying customers happy.

No need for a T-54 ripoff. I would welcome the TACAM TD as a standalone (German-crewed) premium though, it was truly unique (and Hetzer was based on it according to some narratives). I'm not saying I'd buy it as a principled F2P player, but why not.

The TACAM line is based on the chassis of either captured soviet tanks or tanks that were already had by the romanian army. The Maresal TD was probably (accent here, as that is not exactly sure) the only original concept.

Paper designs, never entered in production, because the limited production capacity of Romania at the time: TACAM T38 (TD fitted with captured AT guns from soviets, 76.2mm, based on Marder III), TACAM R1 (TD, AH IV for the chassis, upgunned with a 45mm soviet ATgun), R3 (based on the S-II-c/T21 czech tank with a 47mm gun).

Production TACAM: TACAM R2 (used a number of chassis, from either captured BT7/T60 or Pzkw35, a field soviet gun 76.2mm, with proposals for replacement with either the 75mm AT gun Resita Md.1943 or the 8,8cm german AT gun), TACAM T60 (T60 chassis, parts from BT7, captured soviet 76.2mm field gun, based on the Marder II design), Vanatorul de care R35 (based on Renault 35, 37mm gun, upgunned at 45mm gun, removed from the captured T26 tanks, with a variant at some point that would also use the turret of the T26 - that variant was quickly discarded, as it had a worse armor than the original R35)

But again all of those are variants or copies of pre-existing tanks. Or the romanians playing LEGO and mixing parts from various tanks.

TR 77-580 is the first version for the TR85 (officially know as TR85-800), but it has a different interior. There are still things "borrowed" from T55 and from Leopard 1. TR85M1 is the modernization of the TR85-800 and lost all its soviet legacy. Still, an obsolete tank by now, due to lack of funds for further modernization. Another concept, based on the T72 was the TR125 (which had a different suspension, more armor, new gun, new engine and FCS).

So, i am still on a big no for romanian tanks in WoT. I can see them in that EU tree, but not as a tech tree.
