Only played 8 this morning, and used free Exp to elite it, but a very good tank. The alpha is probably the best thing about it but it is also accurate and decent shell velocity.

Im playing it like the PTA i suppose as there is no armour anywhere that works. The extra gun depression kicking in automatically is perfect for my old man playstyle.

here are some replays if you want to see how i played it:

http://wotreplays.eu/site/4870507#highway-thedrownedape-udes_14_alt_5 ( i quit this one early as some 45%er decided to lose the game on purpose cause i was flaming him in chat)

http://wotreplays.eu/site/4870505#studzianki-thedrownedape-udes_14_alt_5

and ofc the stats shot for those epeen lovers (although don't expect me to maintain this damage):

Edit: can some mod move it to the correct place please, i had another old man moment :(

I played 4 games with semi stock (only had free exp for tracks and second gun) tier8 and had some fun. The suspension is kinda neat, but without the top gun the tank is kinda meh.

I played it with the stock gun by accident for 6 battles and it still seemed pretty decent.

Looking forward to giving it a go, have the XP on the Leo 1, decent crew ready to go and free XP for the modules.

It felt ok on the test server though felt quite sluggish for a paper med, but it also seemed very small.

Thought I was gonna stick with the second gun and go for the more accurate pew-pew approach as I did with the Leo, but I got sold on the big gun as soon as I tried it.

Big gun big game.

After playing a few battles this tank feels like a lackluster version of udes td. Gun certainly packs a lot of punch by medium tank standards but rest is rather underwhelming.
It has no armour to speak of plus it's not very agile and it takes time for siege mode to kick in so playing on the front line is not very good. At the same time gun is not very accurate so long range sniping is not super effective. Mid range snap shooting is also not very good due to poor gun handling and long reload.

For ridge line fighting this tank is insane. Can hit some absurd angles.

But I don't have yet the last gun. I wonder if is more of a play style choice or if it really make a difference.

They still have shots on your turret before you're clear though and it's not gonna bounce anything. :P

I had enough XP on Leo to research it right off the bat.

Except nobody told me it came off the top engine which I didn't unlock :(

But ye, from what I've seen it looks pretty good, and having 360 alpha on a tier 8 med looks really interesting. Going from Warzeys post I take it that the turret armour only appears from tier 9 onward?

Pretty underwhelming for me.

Though terrible teams didn't help, lost 7 of the 10 I played, almost all being heavy one sided losses.

Its not very mobile for a med, nor is it agile, the turret traverse feels horrible and if you try to go round something it takes ages for the turret to catch up.

Gun handling is pretty meh, coupled with unreliable 217 APCR which feels more like 200 AP. Plus mediocre accuracy on top of that.

The siege mode feels weird, you kind of have to crawl up to the ridge, wait for the siege mode, depress the tank, then aim, all of which takes a while and you have no turret armour so can't really afford to sit there.

Might work with the 9 and 10 with turret armour but just feels awkward.

Still better than TVP, CDC, Panther 2, 8.8, T34-2...and so on, and so forth...
