thanks to the "buff" the Emil 1 is now very close to unplayable

its the slowest tier 8 HT now with the worst gunhandling and besides turret face armor (which is worthless because arty misses you for 500+ thanks to 20mm sidearmor) got nothing that redeems it

thanks for the well thought out ""buff"" that made this tank soooooo much better

Like I said when they announced it.  I'm glad I have rid of them both.

the gunbuffs are nice the 360 dmg autoloader is fun but the handling and mobility are so bad its not worth it

Absolutely.

It's a complete and utter piece of garbage. I [edited]regret ever believing WG would have done anything positive with it.

Speed is worse than a lot of heavier TDs, the gun handling, even with a 5 skill crew, foods, GLD etc is so bad as to render every shot over 50m a miss, and even shot under 50m a 50/50 proposition at best. There is LITERALLY nothing good about this tank.

Worst T8 Heavy there is.

I used to enjoy this tank but in the last 5 games (which I lost) it has been ammo-racked at least twice PER GAME. The mobility is such that you simply cannot relocate if required, accuracy/aim time is absolutely dire (so sniping and brawling aren't effective)  the armour is worthless (repeatedly penned by artillery, turret front easily penned by anyone T8+) and I am struggling to see what the actual reason to play this tank is - if it is ONLY a stepping-stone to the Kranvagn my guess is that WG made is so [edited]dogshit awful that they are counting on an additional revenue stream from all those people who want to skip this and the Emil II.

Waste of time and money - avoid it like a case of herpes from Sergei's second-hand child prostitutes.

EDIT: Make that 6 straight losses where I couldn't get into position, or if I did I got absolutely destroyed through a combination of missing shots and pure paper armour.

Sold that pile of crapimmediately.

Lets casually ignore the fact that the T69 and T54E1 are straight out worse than both Emil I and Emil II and continue complaining about the feasibility of tanks we haven't as of yet played properly.

I mean seriously, it didn't lose any DPM, it needs to stay out in the open less time in order to clip somebody, which in turns allows it to retreat easier, the reload is faster and quite manageable whilst the armour profile is quite decent in comparison to other tanks. So far all I can understand from this is that you lot are awfully silly when driving in the tank.

It's by no means a shining star, but comparing it to other tanks it's better in almost every aspect. So what? Now we complain every time they don't make a tank down right overpowered instead of taking the time to play it properly?

oh no argument there its definetly got a better cannon than T69 but they gutted the mobility so hard its simply artyfodder now which is bad for a tank that has no side/rear armor and low amount of HP

This.

The aim time is still garbage but the mobility killed the tank - used to be around 60% WR when I was grinding it originally, dropped like a rock and the rest is history. As for the post above us, Ad Hominem is, and always has been, a poor substitute for reading through responses.

To be honest, I have to agree, this was not a buff by any means! It was kind of a rebalance that went into a slight nerf. It also makes no sense, because it was already one of the worst t8 heavy tanks, so why nerf it further? And of all the things, why did they nerf the goddamn gun handling?! Everyone wished they improved it a little, and what did WG do? The exact opposite. The gun rebalance is nice in my opinion, nothing wrong with that, it could use a bit more DPM, and GUNHANDLING! Alternatively leave gun stats as is, and buff mobility massively. I honestly feel like this tank is a competitor to the infamous AMX 65T, it's just so bad.

By the way, this topic is about Emil 1, so please don't come here saying, "look at my T69, its so weak", you are right, but it's not the topic. The T69 being weak doesn't make the Emil 1 better. Defenders will still roflstomp you any day.
