I pay to play this game, I don't need your ads popping in my bottom left screen repeatedly.

This is aggressive and unwanted marketing, stop it, thank you!

I wish there was a filter option for it. I don't care about deals and I don't want to see those. But getting the patch notes, or event notes etc when going in the first time is handy.

I must admit it would be an improvement if it was only about half the size, that is assuming you absolutely MUST leave it on.

There's probably some mod that can block it or maybe delete the cef_browser which I think is it?

And you will probably get banned in the next wave of "fairplay policy".

Getting unfair advantage by keeping your mental health due to not seeing insanely attractive discounts :)

Yea, we need a check box to de-activate them.

You do understand that WoT is business, right? That small advert doesn't impair anything yet it keeps game servers and its development running. To be honest it's rather cheeky what you are complaining about

No, it isn't. It's not cheeky at all to believe the initiative to buying something should be with the customer who decides their own needs, rather than having desires psychologically created by continuous advertisement.

Ah, the quaint world before marketing. You are a few centuries late!

I know, right? I'm really feeling my age around all you advertisement-happy youngsters

In all seriousness though, just because something has become common, does not mean it's the best way to go about things. A few decades of advertisements has resulted in me installing adblockers whereever I can and voluntarily donating to services I find useful such as wikipedia. I'm sick of the "free service because of ads" and totally fine with a subscription model. I no longer watch television because of the ads on the broadcasted channels, and I haven't for nearly two decades. I'm extremely happy paying for streaming services such as Netflix or Spotify instead.

The best part is that without ever seeing or hearing advertisements, big data gathering by social media companies means nothing because they have no method through which they can exert influence. Advertisement avoidance is key to effective privacy in a digital world.

At least they don't pop up during the game, only in the garage where they don't actually interfere with anything. Its not as if you have to watch an ad like on TV or YT, its just a passive box that can be closed or just ignored.

I'm ok with ads on free to play games.

But I pay to play this game and pretty big cash on top of that for the 3 family accounts.

So I don't want of those ads nor the triumph music coming along like if something really flabbergasting just happened, which is just adding insult to injury.

More power to the advertisement bottle fed youngsters if they enjoy being considered like nothing more than walking wallets, but I don't.

Either a check box, if really necessary, or flat out remove those obnoxious intrusions for premium accounts.

Please, respectfully and thank you.

One man's 'aggressive and unwanted marketing' is another man's 'being kept uptodate with changes and offers'.

I assume it is the 'combat intelligence' that you are so upset over? Personally, I think they are okay. They don't get in the way, they don't require any action unless you want to see what offer is available, or check on a change that has been made. They don't stop you selecting a tank, or any other function in the garage. They are easy to close. They don't stop you going into battle.

They could do with being a little higher up because they obstruct the clear filter x

But as advertising goes they are about as unobtrusive as it gets.  I see more intrusive marketing just walking down the street.

Don't you get these offers on the launcher?

Can't check atm.

If not, that's the right place to put it instead of gaming space.

Nobody looks at the news on the launcher as evidenced by numerous threads on this forum on patch day.  It may as well just be one big play button for some people.

Combat intelligence is another way to hopefully get information out.

*nods*

That's why those unwanted ads on the gaming screen are blatantly WG grasping you by the neck and shaking you violently shouting 'Now, are you finally going to buy my shitty T34 that only us need you to have!'

Wow, you must get totally different pop-ups to me then.
