I've been using the bonus but have found that XP earned after some battles is not being applied to the pot. Either none of its applied or just some of it. I had a good game earlier, applied the bonus and racked up nearly 7000xp and none of it was applied to the total.

Anyone had the same experience?

Any ideas why?

Are you getting two different things mixed up?

The 10% bonus in the bank is credits. The x3 bonus that you can choose to add to your XP haul after a good, winning, battle is something completely different.

If, however, you think that the x3 goes to the Free XP, then you are wrong. It goes on the tank.

Without more information, I don't know what else to say.

I got a million credits out of nowhere yesterday so the credits bit is like a savings bank which unloads when you hit a target

Not so sure about the xp bit, you may need gold to unlock that bit

edit: I haven't researched the fine detail of this new thingybob

No, I wasn't talking about free XP, rather the experience applied to the tank. Its just happened again. I had a total of 60,000 xp on the LEO used the manageable bonus, which made 5000 for the game but only had 2000 of it applied to the tanks total!!

The Leo got a new line diverging from it. The applicable bonus doesn't count towards crew experience, only to the tank itself. This sounds like you have Accelerate Crew Training still on, so all your regularly earned experience goes towards your worst crewmember and the bonus experience to the tank.

Uncheck the box and you should be fine.

So these 5x bonuses are useless for elited tanks, unless you are willing to exchange the xp to free xp for gold?

This while at the same time your crew does not gain any accelerated xp anymore....how useless....

The upside for the game in total is that newer (paying) players benefit from this while long time players with most tanks already researched don't.

Yes, only helps grind tanks. Does nothing at all for crew xp.

This.

Still good but use it for tanks you are grinding only.

There's an obvious incentive for Wargaming to let new players feel like they can "catch up" with the old guard.

That said I've always found it a bit of a strange assumption that most old players have most tanks researched. I actually play my elited tanks when I enjoy them, and improve their crews to make them even better. So after six years and 20k battles I've got like... four or five completed lines and some partials. The main problem I have against the multiply bonus is that you can't apply it on a loss no matter how well you do.

Even if you find this particular feature useless, the WoT premium account still gives you 10% more credits earned (up to 750k per week), 15% more experience and credits for platooning, and three daily missions for extra bonuses, one of which is bonds, and that was on top of what it used to give (50% more credits/experience). I'd be perfectly fine with one of the bonuses not being applicable to my particular situation because as a WoT player with a premium account, I just got a load of free stuff.
