I just bounced(luckily) off an ally by accident while shooting at a faraway tank, I thought the ally was farther away and therefore also further from my aim dispersion cone...so, oops.

But the only way I can respond to that with chat disabled :hiding: is by pressing F6 i.e. "Negative!" as in "I didn't mean to"... He looked at me funny anyway.

Having a quick command such as "Sorry!" would've helped immensely there to clear up any confusion and/or suspicion in an instant.

While we're on the topic, why aren't they voiced? I'm gonna have to mention War thunder here as an example, since they have plenty more such commands and they're all voiced, i.e. they don't make a pinging sound.

If they were to be voiced, a 5 second delay would be mandatory to prevent any potential annoyances.

I have a feeling people would react much more willingly to these commands in certain situations, if they were voiced.

If there were a 5 second delay on the voiced "Sorry" command, that'd be torture for the Canadian players.

Anyways Wot is frequently enough a cacophony without more sounds, if such a thing would be voiced, option to turn it off too please.

You don't apologize and say sorry in an online game.....A f*** y** command, on the other hand, would be used by the 97% of the players.

It would be a sign of weakness, inadequacy and indicate a small p33n.  Probably indicative of homosexual tendencies and general cushion plumping.

Let me introduce you to an old (ish) song from Croatia...

Say, say, to eachother...to eachother...I'm sorry!

Oprosti = I'm sorry

It's pretty good. Trust me. :)

There are a good selection of voice commands in WoWs, from 'Thank you' to a mock swear, but no 'Sorry'. I guess in WoWs the nearest command that addresses your problem would be F10, 'Good luck everybody!', which you could press just before firing your gun :trollface:

these commands must be super-difficult to program, near to impossible to implement and you ask for voice?? why not ask some company to send people on the moon? oh, wait...

I doubt it. The only difference it would make is they'd press the quick command instead of typing sorry in chat. Tk-ers will be tk-ers anyway, and that's what tickets are for.

This is not the only difference, as the commands you use on keyboard always come in the language players have the game installed on, so if you are German, you will read the command in German, even though the player that sends you the message is Polish, for example. This means players can ALWAYS understand these commands, unlike the things you type in chat.

Probably because of the disabled chat. Having this command would solve this problem.
