"Friendly" damage should be more heavily punished (xp / credits).

Hi all.

I don't see why allies doing damage by means of expressing their frustration are not more heavily sanctioned.

Most of time now allies shoot their team mates (no enemy near them) when they are angry and ... it doesn't have any consequences, or next to nothing.

Same for your arties when they damage you.

I don't care for ban or that kind of thing, just make them pay 100k credits and/or remove most of their xp to calm them.

I know it can be an accident, but 9 times out of 10 it is not.

What do you think ?

I think they should introduce eye for an eye rule + 20%. You do 100 hp to someone? You get damaged 120hp yourself. You kill someones driver? Your driver gets killed. You stun your allies, you get stunned yourself etc.

Then the trolls will drive in front of your shots even more than they do now.

They should make the report system more effectiv.

for people that shoot team mates on purpose...

because it sometimes can happen you shoot a team mate on accident.

What do I think?

Last 3 teamdamage caused by me were all when allied tank suddenly appeared in front of my gun while aiming at enemy in sniper view. So...

Removing teamdamage would be much better.

So trolls currently just shoot you.  With mirror damage they will drive in front of shots.  What does this say about trolls and team damage in this game?

Team damage has no place in this arcade tank shooter.

Arty splashing allies is unavoidable sometimes, with shells taking 2+ seconds to arrive.
Allies not being patient and letting arty wear the enemy down, but instead rush in and suicide. Then complain about arty not helping OR complain that arty hit them as well.

The teamdamage system is flawed. Play any clip-tank (Luchs for example) and you'll see. Last session I played I was unloading my clip on a helpless TD, when an ally drove into the line of fire. I released the fire button as soon as I saw, but he still took 100 damage and I turned blue for the remainder of that game.

The real clowns that push you out of cover to let you get killed by the enemy team get away unpunished. THOSE people should be taken care of. Not the ones that accidentally hit an ally occasionally.

WoT Blitz does not have friendly damage at all.

If WoT would just remove friendly damage, do much time and effort would be saved,

plus a lot of aggravation

However, WG has kept it for so long that my post is a waste of time..

WG already plans to disable team damage for the next RB season, and probably in Randoms as well later on.

WoT Blitz is a silly mobile game.

Removing friendly fire would be just another nail in the coffin, it would make the game even more dull and boring.

A better teamdamage system, like requested for years. Done.

I must be an unusual case since I experience team damage quite rarely. I suppose the fines could be a little higher, but that is unlikely to deter people. What I do know is that driving my LT into a nest of arty is bad enough as it is, let alone if they can all just blast me despite my hugging their comrade. Overall I'm fine with things as they are.

Some people getting damaged are themselves responsible for not paying attention to their surroundings. Others are just plain a-holes taking their frustration out on you. Others again are just idiots who just can't resist firing their gun several times at the scenery after the countdown stops, hitting a teammate in the process.

Intentional Team Damage can't be punished enough, but since there is no separation between intentional and unintentional Team Damage, let's just keep it in the middle somewhere.

But I do like keeping it in the game... it's just that bit of realism and having to be mindful about what you do.

Just disable friendly damage instead, it causes way too much grief and LTs are often at the end of it because of bad players in either TDs or SPGs.

It should probably scale up steeply with each hit. One can be an accident, the second rarely is.

If a player is  afk for 3 games should = 7 day ban as well.  The amount of Games that should have been easily won,  lost due to [edited]being afk.

Team damage has no place in this arcade tank shooter.

If you turn off FF then you will get people driving into your shots.

The current system is good, it just needs a bit of tightening up and a removal of the blue status so people can't use that as a guide to how much team damage they can get away with.  Hand out a few instant bans on the 2nd shot in a day and things will improve drastically.

People will drive into shots regardless, FF on certainly doesn't stop that.

You also have a bit too much faith in WG's ability to fine tune the system in such a way as to improve things drastically over what is already there.  Don't get me wrong, I would be happy if they did something to stop me taking damage when someone else phuxzup or gets salty.

"Arty splashing allies is unavoidable sometimes, with shells taking 2+ seconds to arrive"

But you can make it VERY rare.  I do it so infrequently that I wouldn't think too much if I lose all credits or exp for a battle.   I have been on the receiving end of friendly fire from arty far more often that I have dealt it and I play a lot of arty.  if they lose all their gains they will think twice about it.

"Friendly" damage should be more heavily punished (xp / credits).

The ability to do damage either accidentally, or on purpose, is one of the most ludicrous and pointless "features" of this game. It should not exist, and then, it  would not be a problem. But the lunatics seem to have been running the asylum for many years.
