Pointless gun stat.

Hello :)

 

I wanted to ask: what you guys think is next to pointless/useless/unnecessary gun stat?

as when looking at gun stats we look at something that we want the gun/tank to be able to do or be good at.

For me the stat i don't pay that much attention to is Gun Depression/Elevation Angles.

 

what is the stat you think is next to useless?

 

Edit Note: rounds in the clip and gun traverse angles to sides (the thing that most TDs have) are also stats to keep in mind.

Dispersion at 100m is the most useless.

The things I look at are.
Dpm.
Alpha
Reload
Penetration
Gun depression

I don't really Look at them, few dozen games and I have the feel how much work the gun will take to behave... Avg pen, aimtime and gundep are pretty much only ones, to decide wether I can use ridges and how long I can stay until my welcome is over.

I find gun depression verry important ! 

tanks with almost no gun depression are screwed on hilly terrain .

If i have to chooce the most useless stat:its  rate of fire becuase you can calculate that with reload time.

Dispersion is useless, because it is not a 'fixed' measurement anyway... you have to add on a mystery factor that depends on how much you have prayed to RNGesus

I would say "rate of fire" is more useless. It tells absolutely nothing.

really i dont mind if the tank has no gun depression. 

i am playing so much Chinese tanks that the lack of gundepression is next to meaningless.

I would argue that gun elevation can be useful in some case scenarios, and you realise that when you have a tank that has bad elevation.

I think for me its more dispersion really. the smaller the disperion, the more likely it is to land closer, but I feel that it does not always work.

I can think of many cases in my grille 15 where shots that should've penned did not go in, more often than not

Agreed, forgot that one. Even more useless then accuracy.

We got reload time stat to cover that already.

I don't care about any of those stats. I check the tree for a tank that looks interesting, buy it, play it and then decide if I like to play it. Simples.

Lack of gun depression/elevation is really annoying. Ruined the KV-85 for me, and gets me frequently in ackward positions in my French light tanks.

Gun traverse and dispersion are the two I never look at. Gun depression on some tanks.

 

Tbh I wish they added filters for the garage stats, so I could have the stats I care about shown on the list. Not lots of useless info pushing the info I want down or up out of the screen. I miss the old stat window.

With DPM you can easily compare different alpha guns.

gun depression and aiming time are the most important, then the "soft stats".
