Pick corners showing your side armor and you're good to go

Definitely worth it...

  • Good gun with enough gold penetration and fast standard APCR
  • Strong turret and upper plate
  • Trollish V-shaped side armor
  • Decent mobility

I liked it at first then hated it can't play hulldown turret  has huge overmatch and huge cupolas, lower plate is cheese ,gun is good but still derpy , the tank is elevated in a way that you have - 5 deg of gun depression ,basically a meme tank for idiots .

You have to forget everything about side scraping. You have to drive out drom covers showing your side armor....10/8 shots will bounce or be absorbed by the tracks.10/10 players with 0 wot experince would recommend it.

If you can master reverse side-scraping you'll love it.

It's the same as just about every other tank, if you are a good player then it's good, but (speaking from experience) if you aint, it's crap! :girl:

Side armor can be overmatched by 136mm guns and higher...which is very stupid...Type 5 AP gun just wrecks you..

You have the IS 3 turret, kind of....I mean same weak 30 mm plate

Your frontal armor can be penned with standard ammo even from tier 8 tanks...lets not talk about tier 10..

HEAT shells just makes you feel stupid again..

Good thing is IF the enemy has 135 mm gun or less you can troll him like a boss!

Decent mobility, its not a super HT....

Good/ Standart soviet tier 9 HT gun...If you have any other tier 9 HT RUSS you will be familiar with it.

The Hull is V-Shaped, so it is almost impenetrable aside from a small strip along the top. The turret is the same story. Almost entirely impenetrable aside from the side

Looking at the 3d model it seems hard to be tracked and damaged with a single shot.

Nearly impossible, aside from using a very high calibre gun. I've bounced shots off its side in my Conqueror. Not that it is overpowered though, because the lower glacis is weak enough to pen in from most angles.

Most comfortable tank for average Steve like myself. I have the highest winrate in it and highest XP of my top tier tanks. That doesn't say much, but generally I find it quite easy to play.

BTW, don't use free XP to unlock it, play the IS3 to gain the XP and then free XP the modules - that stands for any tank!

IS-7 is an OK tank. Mobility is above average, armor is fine against standard rounds but that's it. The gun is garbage.

You can't track it and do hp damage with the same shot.

again, this logic fails for many tanks, and sometimes works the reverse way.
