i just realised how [edited]grindy this game is.

its like they dont care about skill, just how many tanks you have grinded for. they fill the game with ways to spend money to save time.

like why cant it be 2/3 of the current grind?

its like they want new players to get tired of the grind and leave the game. thats how it was for me, a big [edited]chore to have a bit of fun in the end before it gets stale to play the same tier 10 tank over and over again.

do you enjoy the grind? i sure as [edited]hell dont. and is the grind worth it for you? it was kinda exciting for me to grind the swedish heavys, but i lost intrest at the emil 1.

it felt like i had completed the grind and when i finally got the kranvagn i just sorta played a few games then forgot about it.

so much [edited]time spent when i could have gotten diamond or even champion on rocket league

or platinum on rainbow six siege.

or actually gotten good grades at school, wich frankly sometimes is even more fun than playing a [edited]rock with a big [edited]forhead in hopes of one day getting a bigger rock with a thicker forhead.

The whole point of the grind is to cause frustration...which in turn, may prompt you to open your wallet. That's how many F2P games work, by causing frustration....it's not unique. If they made it too easy, no one would spend money.

It's almost as if each tier takes progressively longer to surpass so you will learn how to play properly for when you reach the higher tiers.

i mean thats what i thought.

greedy [edited]pigs at wargaming.

i do hope they promote free speech here:

because these [edited]greedy mutherfuckers think they can make their games thousands of hours long and think people will still play.

good games makes players stay

i am not [edited]taking another crapfrom this game.

this game is JUST a grind, no skill JUST grind.

there are no players that have talent in this game JUST grind.

play more = better at the game, but not due to skill. purely due to experience.

and the [edited]russian bias is one of the most frustrating and childish things in this game.

bye greedy [edited], you got some of my money.

im not reccomending this game to anyone.

i am shitting on this game every chance i get.

because this is a [edited]toilet.

oh so you need 50hours to learn a few new mechanics?

1. It's a company, not a charity, it's not going to give away millions of dollars of digital content away for free.

2. People will still play this game. Just without you, shame.

3. Are you not able to play in tanks for fun or does the game force you to grind and unlock new tanks? Maybe it's just a you thing.

4. I thought I was getting better seeing my increase in stats, but nevermind, I guess it's because I'm so good at grinding :great:

5. Russian bias? play the 3 tier 10 Russian Heavies, then come back to the forums and tell us what you think of the 'OP' IS-7 or the 'Biased' stats of the IS-4, or the absurdly 'unbalanced' Object 705a.

6. If you hate the idea of the game, why did you pay? Surely that shows that you must either have a very weak will or you enjoy it.

7. I'm sure your objection to recommending World of Tanks will cause the player base to decline by a tremendous amount.

8. Yeah, just a few. Such as how to play a game for fun instead of complaining about it taking too long to unlock a tank. Ever realised that a lot of new players who hop into their newly bought tier 8 premiums tend to provide little to no impact on the outcome of the game? Exactly. If you want to get everything for free, then I'm sure you can make your own game, if you have a spare few billion dollars you are willing to provide and not receive any money in return, that is.

9. Bye!

Don't care. I like playing tanks even I hate playing. Doing the exact opposite the company wants me to do whilst challenging myself more. :)

I like the grinds. Getting to the top tiers to easy is no fun at all. I also like playing at the lower tiers since you will learn things about the line you are doing.

Although I have to say I keep playing stock tanks to a minimum.

You obviously confuse this game with ones like Rainbow 6. Its not the same type of game. Its not meant to be.

It was designed to be a gradual progression through the tiers, a marathon not a sprint. And it works judging from the number of players who have been here for a good number of years.

Stop looking at the game as a grind or a 'race' to Tier X, and more like a marathon like unhappy_bunny stated. This game has no linear path or endgame like other games do. There is no accomplishment or medal for reaching Tier X in 3k games or less. Nobody is going to high-five you when you get 10 Tier X tanks. So forget the 'grind', just focus on each individual battle. And if you are grinding a tank you dont like, or are stuck on a tier that has a large xp requirement to get to the next tier, then take the long term approach; just do the daily doubles and enjoy the tanks you have elited already.

You laugh at 50hrs of learning a new mechanic, but sidescraping in one tank is different from sidescraping in another one. Truly learning the ins-and outs of a tank takes while. and this game has A LOT of tanks to know / learn. Its what separates some really good players from the rest. I find it amazing how some CCs I watch on YT can get hit by a tank and immediately know by the alpha of the hit "oh, he is playing with the stock gun - no way he can pen me so I can be much more aggressive against him".

Me too. By doing this you usually stack up plenty of free xp to skip the stock modules. I did that on E75 for example and also unlocked the big E100 gun already.

Players with 'pro' in their name rarely are.....perhaps they need more than 50 hours to learn the mechanics.

We'll see how much they play this game after ranting about it being bad.

I limit the grind to two lines at a time and can stop them half done (at Sturer Emil, IS-M, O-HO).

Another good trick is to ban lines (in my case : not turreted tds) or countries (half of them for me) : you can focus on the chosen ones and limit crew needs.

At least it's what I do to limit the impact of the lack of premium account ;)

Every game like this needs to have some sort of grind otherwise it would be to quick and boring to get things..... I enjoy grinding myself as i like to learn the game, the tank im playing and get better
