Good evening to all.

I just bought the black market blackdog.

Was so enthusiastic i went in battle without equipment, consumables and a serious ammo layout.

I like the tank, but not being a LT player, I would like to use this b"than other LT" tank to get the personal campaign LT mission.

So I was wondering, wich should be the equipment and crew skill to make it good?

I set 6th sense for commander and cammo for the rest, but after that, what should I get?

I also mounted optics but, considering the tank has a really good gun handling, I can't chose between rammer and vent, rammer and V-stab or V-stab and vent.

Any suggestion about it?

Thank you all! :)

I do not carry nearly that much HEAT  but agree with the equipment and crew skills

Ok. Setted to a more conservative 20 AP, 11 HEAT and 15  HE ammo layout. ;)

Equipment wise, will then mount the rammer and V-Stab when I open the game again.

Thank you for the fast answers. :)

Let me elaborate on that:

  • I have a lot of credits and i mostly play premiums.
  • If i ever needed credits there is always FL every month.
  • In smol tanks you've to make every shot count and since both shells got the same shell velocity i don't see any drawbacks if you aim carefully.
  • You ski so what's with the cheap ammo or is it that generals don't fire HEAT upon one another? :)

Agree with equipment, but as skill order i would go 6th/repairs first - bia - camo - recon/situational with other perks..

Repairs first because you get tracked quite often and you have no armor and its not a low profile light, repair faster can and will allow you to survive longer.

I didn't buy the girlfriend edition, since I have the M41 90mm already.

My equipment and crewskills goes as follows:

Rammer Vstab optics (2586dpm, 464m view range)

Skills:

Com: Bia 6th SA camo

Gun: Bia camo SS

Driver: Bia Camo SR

Loader: Bia SS camo

Ammo loadout: 22ap 12 HEAT 12 HE but I keep changing that all the time.

I like to play it sort as a light tank killer early game and pretty rarely passive spot.

I'd swap loader's BiA and repairs. BiA's everyones' 3rd skill, so having it second with loader doesn't help.

BIA, CAMO, REPAIRS (6th sense of course)
Maybe Situational awareness before repairs on commander

Equipment

VStab, Optics, Rammer.

That's it.

When my first skill is full (commanders are usually females so i have BIA and 6th sense from the start) i and when 2nd skill is on 60-70 i retrain crew and BIA, and 2nd skill putting camo, if we speak about lights.

BIA means a lot.

It's often a source of debate whether to train camo or repairs first on a light because not being seen and not getting shot at also will allow you to survive longer. It's a matter of personal preference yet both are useful skills to have.

Let me elaborate on that:

  • I have a lot of credits and i mostly play premiums. I too have lots of credits, but I think I play more tech tree tanks than premiums
  • If i ever needed credits there is always FL every month. Agreed FL I only ever really play premiums and the credits roll in by the million.
  • In smol tanks you've to make every shot count and since both shells got the same shell velocity i don't see any drawbacks if you aim carefully. Agreed again, except that I find the Blackdog so good that although some enemy tanks need 2 type ammunition, especially at the beginning of battles, towards the end, I find I frequently have the side or rear of a damaged enemy and type 1 ammunition is completely fine to finish them off.
  • You ski so what's with the cheap ammo or is it that generals don't fire HEAT upon one another? :)Haha very good, I'm no general at this game, in fact I am by far a better skier than I am a player of WoT. Reminded me of the old joke; "why don't sharks bite lawyers? ..........................................................................................professional courtesy"
