Given my complaints about the game generally outweigh my compliments quite heavily I'll make the effort to say well done WG the MM is definitely better than it was. Under the old template system MM was a real pain in the backside, especially at tier 8 where you were bottom tier a hell of a lot of the time. Since the improved MM was introduced I feel like the balance is about right, I'm not permanently frustrated about being bottom tier but get bottom tier games in a proportion that feels relatively 'fair'.

So credit where credit's due, and it took some time but … good job.

300 battles in a non-premium tier 8, 72% vs tier 10s. (less than 2% vs tier 6, eg. top tier)

250 battles in non-premium tier 6, 69% vs tier 8s.

its still FUBAR.

it seems some do get that and some dont, thats why its still `broken` somewhere along the lines.

Its a bit better but while there is still +/- 2 matchmaking it is still not fit for purpose.

Deffo a lot better than previously

+1 MM should be the target for WoT

Or at least one week a month, +1 -1 MM

The MM has improved from total garbage to 'ample room for improvement'.

Not sure if that means WG did a good job, given they are mostly repairing the last round of mistakes. (That is to say, 3-5-7.)

I suppose its a lot better for normal t8s now but its a pain for me personally now as i enjoyed farming t10s in my prem t8 tds. Now i keep being top tier in them, not a complaint just an observation.

Some games are good but still a lot of obvious one sided games, playing feels like a walk in a park or hitting head against a wall. Rarely in between.

Still giving me three or four +2 tier games in a row on a full server. So it is still broken and I still refuse to be a kanonenfutter for tanks I can not even scratch. No to mention that most games are decided even before you press W...

I'd call it acceptable. The last time I did any counting at tier-6, it was about 90% vs. tier-8. One of the reasons I lost interest in playing.

I think that by now they have reached the best possible compromise .. who thinks the opposite is just a whiner

IMO it still makes boring template teams just has more templates to go at.  I'll give it 6/10.

Give me more variety, I don't care if I'm the only tier VIII in a battle with tier X.  And stop matching TDs with TDs, etc.

Playing mostly Tier 7 last night and MM was grim. 3/5/7 seems to have been replaced with 6x Tier9 and 6x tier 8 or 8x tier 8, with most of the tier 8s seemingly taking advantage of pref MM. Tier 7 is getting fucked over.

Are you sure about those numbers? Because to me it feels like I see a lot less +2 tier matches. Definitely not 70%. Feels more like 20~30%.

Playing in a tier 9 I had 19 games out of 20 in T10 games - I don't know how many were low tier (of 2) games and how many mid tier... So I can't say I was too impressed with the MM

However it was Frontline Week so there may not have been the normal number of T8/9/10 players available

Tier 8 is a lot better, so much so I was rocking a 65% wr when I was solo playing my prem lights as I wasn't fighting T10 super tanks, I decided to go back to predominately play T10 as the Jap types have been amended. My WR has dropped down to 50% but I'm having fun :) The recent changes WG have made to randoms/mm has improved the game quite a lot.
