I woke up early and thought I'd check what the black market tank was this morning and it was the Sexton.

Sexton

This was 5:23 (UK time) so I don't know how many were for sale and how quickly it sold out. What I do know is though, around this time in a morning there is normally around 4,000 to 5,000 players online, but this morning there are nearly 20,000 players online. That's either a lot more people logging on or a lot more getting up early.

See you all online at 5pm :izmena: and be quick on the buy button.

I was rather glad that the choice was taken out of my hands as I would not want to buy an SPG, but I might have been tempted.

It was just 500.000 credits.

Seem very cheap for relatively rare tank (it was removed from premium shop quite long ago), specially as FcmPak which is also Tier3 was sold for 3.500.000 credits.

So now surprise it was sold out that fast.

It was 15 000 units on sale for 500 000 credits and it sold out pretty much in those 23 minutes. Guess the community has forfeited the right for arty whine threads for a little while now ;)

Considering the Pak 40 was 3.5 mill. That was not a bad deal for a pre nerf SPG.

The tank slot alone would be worth 500k credits.

The early morning ones seem to be lower tier premiums, the better ones at early evening.

IIRC from someone that ha sit, the Sexton is awful, even for a lower tier arty which are bad anyway.

And this is why limited stock is beyond idiotic if you are not going to release parts of that limited stock every hour or so.

Give nice things with one hand but then at the same time make it impossible to acquire for normal people because of severely limited stock and ungodly hours.

Getting up at 6am or even 5am for a Sexton tier 3 arty, which based on the numbers online, people did, is hilariously sad.

Am I the only one who is thinking about this whole black market thing

is more like the "carrot-on-a-stick" thing?

also, at 6 am a normal person is either still partying, at work or sleeping.

Of course it is, they needed some goodwill from people, so they tossed this one in to the air to see where it lands.

I wonder how many people bought it because 500,000 credits for a garage slot is a pretty good deal. :hiding:

That said, I'd have bought this one as a keeper. I like the 25-pdr on the Alecto and it's a pre-nerf arty, has some pen to its HE and can fire AP, which could be fun assuming you could hit anything with it.

Woke up at 6 AM just to see this piece of sh.t on the market. I would not pay even 100 silver for it...

For 500k silver I would had bought any tank offered. I bet most of the buyers don't even care about the Sexton, it was a matter of principal just for bothering logging in. :D

Funny thing is back in the day when the Sexton 1 was available to buy if someone annoyed you in a battle instead of raging at them or shooting them, you could buy them a Sexton 1 and know it would give them many games of pain before they worked out how rubbish it was. The Sexton 1 was perfect for "chitgifting".

Lol, this is the oddest reply. 330 is good viewrange at tier 3. With binos outspotting lights for sure.

Then the Pak40 comment... That will be the last thing that shoots the Sexton. It’s a good td but about the slowest thing in the tier...

Well I get up at or before 6am every day to get ready for work so I'm absolutely fine with that schedule.

Shame I have to race back home for the evening offer though.

I'm amazed people bought it.  I was up at 5:00 am & saw it go up - logged out & went back to bed.
