Because a lot of people only play the OP stuff. They don't care about the tanks history, the tanks looks, they just care how OP it's. They'd play a pink box with a stick if it was OP. And that also got reflected in the TotT votings, which is why I'm glad they removed it.

And yes, it's a nice tank.

WoT just happens to be a competitive game, where winning is more fun than losing. Thus players tend to favor tanks that help them win more often.

And yes, I'd play a pink tank with sticks. Let me introduce you to my main, Fiddlesticks.

A tank that yields you a 56% winrate vs a tank that yeilds you a 60% winrate. That's a difference of 4%, meaning that after 100 games, you would have won 4 extra games. Are you trying to say that winning 4 extra games every 100 games makes the game noticably more fun? I'd say that it makes the game much more fun to play whatever tank you like and feel that you want to play, rather than forcing yourself upon some tank just because it has slightly better statistics.

Works the other way as well. A tank yields one 56% win rate vs a tank that yields one 60% win rate vs a tank that yields one 52% win rate.

By picking a trash tank over an S-tier one, one can lose 8 more matches out of 100 by doing so.

So every ~12th game you win 1 extra game, and that makes the game more fun for you?

Might be tempted to grind up the line again but will for sure stop at the Obj 704, not worth going any further that's for sure.

You are missing the point completely. Tanks that win more handle better and tanks that handle better are more pleasant to play with. Also your WR depends on the whole team, so you can have significantly more fun in a tank that has only slightly higher WR.

No, I'm not missing his point, I'm just questioning it. The way he put it, is that all that matters is how often we win, which is why I made that comparison. The way you put it, is that it matters how well a tank handles. And I can agree with that, but you need to remember 2 additional things: How well a tank handles also depends on how the players uses the tank, and a tank that you personally enjoy will appear to handle better than a tank that you don't enjoy. As a comparison, the Obj.430U is stronger statistically than the T-62A, yet I enjoy and have more fun in the T-62A, simply because I think it looks better and is more realistic, which also causes me to play it better.

The end point is that you can have fun in tanks that are not OP. Obj.268 is one example of that, play it right and it's actually a fun TD.

Don't think many people are waiting for that one.

Edit: ow dear I got a like from qp. Dunno how to feel about that honoured or embarrassed :P

He probably stopped reading when he got to your avatar.

Anyways, I had fun giving the SU-152 a little spin and it's a chance to get an ISU-152 and more at a discount. So colour me mildly interested. My neighbors are going to hear me shout "Stalin guide my shell!" a lot.

Or play Defender and win 9% more games, because balance.

Regular 268 (not Bobject) would be good, or not good, but better than now, if gun stats are the same, dpm remains the same but alpha goes up to 950 (RoF goes down too).
In that way, with leaving everything else as it is we will have more mobile less protected Jagdpanzer, still unique and decent and in that way we can find some excuse for terible gun and other things on it.

So Ive gone up from the su-100 and now 8k xp from the obj 268. I'm actually really really enjoying the 704 peek-a-boo play style or just sitting on a corner preventing tanks advancing into the bfg. I quite often get 3k damage games which is good for me as an orange player. So with that in mind is it worth buying the 268? Is it an improvement in this type of shotgun play style?

I've really enjoyed this line. Managed to get the SU-100, SU-152 and ISU-152 all of which I enjoy and are keepers for me. Hope to get to the tier 9 before the end of the weekend. Should manage it. Being higher up in tiers is not my aim in the game so happy to stop there. Maybe one day I'll try a tier 10. This will be my first Tier 9 so watch out folks, Tomato out of his depth again!! :playing:

I thought it was alright. Ok gunhandling and decently mobile. Just remember you don't have any armor and you'll probably burst in flames in anything hits you and you're fine.
