No HTTPS on forum?

Newcomer here, web developer by trade. I would never ship a site which has a login but doesn't use SSL. Browser developers are starting to get clued up to this and adding a big red "not secure" logo.

I filed a tech support ticket and was told

I'm sure this is not on topic, and that tech support of this nature is best filed as a tech support ticket with technical people.
