Let's be honest guys : the only thing good with the Thunderbolt is that you pay 15€ for 5 BIA crew, making them 3 € per head.
Apart from that it is very very weak, the armor doesn't work in this gold meta.

Neither, the standard pen is not competitive enough for the tier. Especially not on the T-44.

Well Progetto has olny 22mm more. And T44-100 is nimble enough to circle oponents. I find it to be the best premium medium in the game. Yes, i even like it more than Progetto.
A enjoy my t44-100 very much its a great tank. And im a player who didnt like t44 and t54 at all.
T54 is the only tank that i bouth and then seel twice, give it two chances but didnt manage it to work.
both are meh,..tunderbolt is t6 so no credit potential anyway,..
t44-100 is meh also, I find it comparable to Mutz but worse than Primo Viktoria.....

I have T44, 430, 430U, 140 but i sold T54 because standard ammo pen is worse and is too expensive to play.

T-44-100
Great tank, but a bit pricey. Has been sold once on a good discount and once thrown in for free with a yearly premium purchase - both cracking deals. If you are patient, might be better to wait in the hope of something similar.
Thunderbolt
Standard M4 fare but probably worth it alone for the BIA crew
I bought the Thunderbolt earlier this year specifically for the bia crew, you can do ok in it the armour does offer an interesting bouce even from standard tier8 shells at times, however it's very very slow to get up any incline/hill which effects how you want to paly a tank with good gun depresion, and is not a particularly exciting or dynamic tier 6 medium to play.
It gets the job done I have had good results plinking away with the same sort of gun you get on most tier 6 light tanks, but it doesn't satisfy in the same way a Cromwell or T34-85 or VKp does, well for me at least. Against tier 4/5 it's armour is so op the game is no fun.
T44-100 I would lika this tank and was hoping it might come up in the black market for gold/cr, for something that was previously available via a marathon I think the £38 price is disgustingly over priced.

Most Tier 8 tanks, even the average/bad ones work quite well in Frontlines because Tier 8 balancing compared to Tier 7 and Tier 9 is garbage.
For no good reason Tier 8 tanks still have a big drop in DPM compared to tanks below and above, this is an old balancing factor from WoT in 2012-2013 which still hasn't been addressed.
Tier 8 medium penetration especially is lacking since the huge influx of heavy armour in this game without the penetration of standard ammo rising to compensate/deal with it.

Good point but what mediums would you say are superior to the T44 100 at tier 8.
Anything with more then 210mm pen on the standard ammo. Since doing damage is the major contributor to your income/xp you need to pen your shots to do damage.

Yeah it's nimble but if you don't want to shoot that much gold, anything under 210 penetration on a medium is just not very competitive.
