It's above average, but not that much. Cheapest T8 premiums are around €25, most around the €3x area and some above €40 (nominal prices without any discounts).

Most Tier 8 tanks, even the average/bad ones work quite well in Frontlines because Tier 8 balancing compared to Tier 7 and Tier 9 is garbage.
For no good reason Tier 8 tanks still have a big drop in DPM compared to tanks below and above, this is an old balancing factor from WoT in 2012-2013 which still hasn't been addressed.
Tier 8 medium penetration especially is lacking since the huge influx of heavy armour in this game without the penetration of standard ammo rising to compensate/deal with it.

Very true. Experienced that last year when I was grinding the Pershing. Didnt feel competitive in Randoms at all. Bt in FL mode it was ok.

Let's be honest guys : the only thing good with the Thunderbolt is that you pay 15€ for 5 BIA crew, making them 3 € per head.
Apart from that it is very very weak, the armor doesn't work in this gold meta.
I still take it, it'll probably rise again with gold ammo rebalance.

I'll take one T-44-100 please, does 8.500.000 credits sound fair?
That's what should have been offered in the black market instead of trolling everyone with a T-34 B again, making people connect at 6am for nothing is just a big joke to WG apparently
It wasn't us! It was those damn black market thugs!

Both worth it, but the T44 100 is expensive.
Got mine with a years premium for £65 plus a T28 F30.![]()
I saw that deal and thought about it, since I still had about 280 days premium or something at the time I didn't bother. It was a great deal and now I kind of regret not getting it because I really want the T-44-100. Stupidly hoped it might be one on the black market.

Neither, the standard pen is not competitive enough for the tier. Especially not on the T-44.

The T-44-100 is not competitive? Seriously?
There seems to be a theme for your posts - buff penetration of all tanks (especially lights) so we can frontally pen most tanks in the game without too much thought. If that actually came to pass, it would be a pretty boring game.

I was lucky as my premium time was almost gone, the deal was a no brainer for me but I can see your dilemma.
Since WG employees apparently lack the ability (competence or incitament) to do so,
The Thunderbolt I think should have preferential match making, then it'd be good! But the BIA crew you get with it is pretty cool and you get some good games in it. I aced mine a couple of times now and only play it for crew training. It can be pathetically underpowered in bad match ups and sluggish as hell, the armour often fails too, and is worthless in tier 8 games.

I'll have to agree with that, it's a bit of jack of all trades but master of none. The Firefly has the gun, the Jumbo has the armour and the easy 8 has mobility. I don't dislike the Thunderbolt unless against tier 8.
