free country and free will, they can go there if they want and they don't have to ask for a yes or no from you.

I saw it work once.

Maybe it was in tier III, I can't remember.

I've even been there in scout tank, sat on that grassy ledge and got lots of spotting, maybe that was in Tier III as well

The last game on that map I watched a SkorpG drive up to the ridge and die, who knew?

When they continued to do this on Encounter, battle after battle after battle, that's when I turned this mode off for good.

It's the ones with zero gun depression going here that are just so stupid and, as you say, the LTs. But let's face it. We get idiot LTs falling over the heavies in brawling spots all the time.

Scouts that go valley should be... looking for a nice word to replace something... you get the picture.

But going valley otherwise is fine. Just as long as there's an equal amount going town.

When this happens just camp base, don't go city, the little chance you have is if the ennemies are stupid enough to push your base in the open.

I've seen it work numerous times on the PS4 version wherein the player base seems to be more aggressive, and the majority of people communicate via headsets thus encouraging/ goading one another to push forward.

On PC the games are much slower with the Valley effectively becoming a stalemate until one team manages to open up a flank and come around the back.

What do you expect from these "players"? I know, there are kids, there are some casual players, there are some "I play for fun", there are "you won't tell me what to do, I too stronk, git gud" guys who die in first 2 minutes. Average battle lasts for about 3.5 minutes... Win or lose, doesn't matter. 5 years ago you had like 6 minutes of average battle time, a lot of battles played for 15 minutes. You couldn't see much of 15:0 battles... Now it is a "normal battle"...

If there are 3 SPG's? Then no. If there are no SPG's and your team have the most armored HT? Why not? A few is not the worst idea. But staying to hold it when the enemy team goes lemming fail there is a different matter.

If WG received A CENT every time a medium player with cardboard for armor went down the heavy route, there'd be no more money left in this world, apart from in their pockets...

eh valley is best place on that map IMO.

Town seems to be rather useless all the times i have ever tried to go there, so its valley or camp at base basically

If there are no arty and all you do is wait for them to push into your line of TD's, then it's a valid tactic, because those same TD's are in place to defend the base.

What seems to be dumb is pushing before your side has cleared the town. Or worse, keep pushing having lost the town, fail to come back to defend and then get shot in the [edited].

Or push the valley on Assault mode, and then lose to capping because you are still wading through the boggy ground.

But hey, when is the last game you had that people stayed off the beach on Overlord, never right?

depending on the MT and matchmaking it might not be too stupid.

if there is no arty, no things like sconq/chieftain etc you could go valley with decently armored meds with gun depression, for example; cent1/cent71/udes(15.)16/fatton/e50(m). if it is a paper MT (with no gun depression) going valley it can be pretty stupid yea
