What exactly was poor on that?

Damn, these customers... it was a great idea, great event and only is6b was not sold very well (for obvious reasons)... everything else was fun and i think very succesful - for players and wg.

I think it was a nice event., although I could not buy that many tanks due to my sleeping and working hours wichc made it hard to be online in time...and the fact I already owned some of them.

But then again it was a good move WG, good for WG and good for some players.

Suggestion: if you want to repeat an event like this, please use more opening hours during a day, of course with the same offers (with smaller amounts availabl;e maybe) so more players are can find a fitting time to be online and have a chance to use an offer .

COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME......

WOT you made no effort to think about the average working man in the UK....

The deals started at 5AM GMT and again at 5PM GMT....

Those that work in the UK would no be up at 5am or be finished work by 5pm...

this was totally unfair for anyone working in the UK.....

Don't worry mate, This event was a test to see how the market would withstand or put up with, due to the incoming law of loot boxes and gambling. They wanted to actually see how much money people would spend on tanks and all the sheep that bought them fell for it. What is disgusting is that they sold tanks that were removed from the game for being over powered and according to them (WG) would never make a comeback. Mark my words, the next black market event that they pull will have the WT-E-100 for sale at a even more ridiculous price than the Foch 155 went for, which equated to $305 of my dollars. Keep in mind that the FV 215-183 and the Foch 155 were tanks you could grind out for free and a very brutal grind it was.

Anybody who reads this should not fall for these gross marketing tactics, further more, us gamers need to stand up to ridiculous prices and tell them to get stuffed by not buying these tanks. They are clearly lying to their customers and have no conscious about it by bringing these so called overpowered tanks back. It is absolute bollocks that they blatantly lied to us about the removal reasoning's just to pull this stunt. You may be lemmings in game but don't be sheep in life!

Pssst... Baldie dealer?

Call me in advance when you get over Sparkle, will you?

Great event. Good job Baldie.

I had 50M credits with no value to me, except accumulating equipment in depot.

You gave it value: FCM 36 Pak 40; Sexton I; Caernarvon AX; T34 B; and FV215B 183.

No problem getting back to sleep at 5:05, but impossible to access at 17:00 due to work.

How about making n tanks available, from hour to hour, on the half day offer?

Can you bring prices as a mix of credits, gold and bonds?

Can you steal premium account time, and girls for credits?

Good luck with the elite team Baldie. Take care and good hunt.

I guess it won't be that hard to find a couple of thousands of Alpine Tigers, IS-6B's and the others, it'd be hard to miss so many unsold tanks even for you guys at WG

Also, don't forget about the sh*tload of paint buckets too, it's hazardous to the environment you know

Hey WG,

Next time how about you release a portion of the vehicles every hour instead of all of them in one go. Some players have a real life and because of timing can't part in these kinds of events. I think it's unfair to your loyal gaming community as a whole.

good. keep it shut. it was terribly divisive with the limited numbers of items, early offers that sold out in seconds and ridiculous pricing.

either revise the format or keep it shut please

Yep, the event was frustrating [edited].
Gotta get up before 5am to check what's on offer?  [edited]to that.
Can't know what's on offer in advance or what the cost is?  [edited]to that.
Gotta fight to get an item (possibly within 14 seconds of it coming on sale)?  [edited]to that.
Store-front consistently down so you have to relog to try to access it?  [edited]to that.

I'm ready to flex my credit card and support the game, but hey-ho - cynical [edited]at work to cynically froth up an aritifical feeding frenzy that just ends up cutting me out.

I for one wasn't at all interested in this event got more tanks in the garage than I can use and still got ones to get in the tech trees why would I want to waste credts/gold ect just to make it harder to get round to playing them all at some point and I have Warships to play as well as other non WG games and a life to live.

Hats off to WG for this well thought out special event!

A lot of people are salty over number of things, but most of those gripes are with selfish motives. I for one really appreciated the way the whole thing was set up, because in my eyes this was targeted to experienced players who already have most of common tanks and have too much gold/credits in their account to spend it on anything. There are plenty of specials for casual and f2p players, so having something for the "hardcore crowd" was really nice.

Below is a list of positives in my books:

1. The rare tanks were released in limited quantities, ensuring that they will remain at least somewhat rare. In few cases (Pz V/IV) there were a bit too many available, but I think they didn't even sell out.

2. The timing of the biggest deals meant that if you really wanted the tank, you had to put in extra effort to wake up early and be ready when the offer is released. This meant that if you really wanted a certain tank, you could get it. If the best offers would've been in prime time and with a huge promotion ahead, it would've been complete crap shoot who gets the tank.

3. The price and short noticed ensured that the people who have played longer and already own most of the common tanks (and had accumulated more credits/gold) had an upper hand on buying these rarer tanks. I think this is fine as the newer players still have a lot of new content to get to even without a Hydro or Pz V/IV in their carage.

4. The fact that you could buy the tanks with in game currency was a huge positive surprise. This made the event feel more of an opportunity for experienced players than an obvious money grab toward the weak.

The one negative thing I have to say is that you really should keep your word in the future. When you say that something is exclusive and will never be sold again, it impacts the rarity and value of that item. When you sell it again, you actually de-value those items, which in addition to being morally questionable may even be illegal. Think about a whisky distillery who sells a batch of 50 bottles for 2k€ per bottle. If they sell 2000 more the next month, the value will go down and will certainly piss off the original customers.

Anyway, good event and while I hope to see something similar again I also hope that you wont oversell the rare ones.

One thing to improve the black market is to lower the price of the tank on offer every minute.

That way even those tanks that are less in demand will get sold eventually when they become dirt cheap.

That and add more stock available for those tanks in demand.

It does not hurt WG in any way to have 10 times as many tanks in stock.

In fact i wonder how much money they left on the table by having tanks sell out in 2 minutes or less,

while they could keep raking in money for hours on end.

Well most of the tanks that were sold here, we interesting mainly because they were rare. Not because they were so good, good looking or fun to play. If you sell unlimited amount of those tanks, they lose all of what made them interesting in the first place. Actually, if the tank is op, there is even more of a reason to limit the sales before the tank ruins the MM.

I think it is really selfish to ask for more of the limited commodities just because you missed out on one. I missed out on the Type 59 two years ago, but still was rather disappointed that WG sold so many of them. It really lost some of the intrigue it used to have.

This event reminded how WG was in the old days.Hats off to WG for this event and I truly hope this wont be the last time we see it.As a suggestion:If WG could sell the tank for gold could they offer us an alternative tank for credits or even the equivalent of credits to the amount of gold.If WG could implement this once or twice a year itl give players time to grind for credits and make it easier for those who cant afford gold.Im sorry I missed out on the Black Dog but hopefully with the next event i'l be able to get it.

I shared this suggestion. Cheers.

I think Bordhaw was referring to the GMT time zone problem (5:00 am is far to early), the limited number of units and the crashing premium shop issues preventing people from getting gold in time

all these issues prevented many players from getting what they wanted
