With the award of the M10 RBFM, we get 5 crew with one skill. I already have the Foch B, Foch 155,  AMX Cda 105 and FCM 38 Pak 40, all of which share the same crew of 4. The M10 needs a radio operator, so I'm thinking I should repurchase a French tech tree TD for the new crew, rather than leave the radio operator solely trained for the M10. There are only 3 that match the M10 crew layout, so which do you think is most fun/least frustrating? Also, do you prefer to play any of them with something other than the top gun?

Train radio operater for it.
It's more pointless to buy tier 6 and 7 garbage just to have radio operator.
Train that one crew member, get BIA first and enjoy tank, especially if you already have Foch B and, probably, good crew in it.

I voted AMX only because of the three it's the less crappy, but none of these tanks are good IMHO (SAu is plain horrible).

Also, I did use ARL with the 105mm when I grinded it (it was several years ago though), and AMX with the 90mm DCA 45.

Train the radio in the RBFM, forget the tech tree tonks, he will train very fast anyway, receiving double XP as all other crew members must have multiple skills/perks.

Just looking at those 3 tanks bring back horrible memories!

Don't buy any of that, train a radio operator for the M10 like sokolicc said.

Lol, i just got it yesterday.
You can easily take BIA as first skill, it comes with 100% on first skill.
And camo on 1 crew member isn't that important.

arl v39 is a real good tank if running the 105mm and NOT the 90mm. deffo worth it imo, running gold on 105 gives 10% dpm boost aswell for some reason unknown to mankind (300 vs 330 alpha)

amx 46 is one of worst tier 7 tanks, guns are garbage and platform isnt that great either, plain downgrade from the tier 6

Just use the RO from a different tank line.

Yes, he only works at 50%, but then again: who cares? It is just signal range - not some statt you'd notice ingame.

Does it also reduce the effectiveness of his Situational Awareness skill?

Think you've missed the point of what I'm trying to do....we get five crew with one skill with the M10. That INCLUDES a radio operator. I could leave him trained for the M10, and only use him on that, but that still leaves me with 4 good crew to assign elsewhere. Buying one of the TDs listed means I could use all of them without having to bother looking through the entire tech tree for suitable homes.

Yes, swapping two RO's both with 81% SA, SA drops from +10m to +8m.

If you insist taking one of them I'd say the tier 6. They all have no armor, so that makes no sense. The tier 6 at least has a good gun.
