Of course i did not mean waaay back, as you would not be able to hit anything.

Well maybe a barn by accident.

One of the most fun part about ISU is being at the front with HT. Being spotted here immediately scares the enemy that tends to be less prone to push. The old BL-10 was a joy to be played at corner peeking while enemy was reloading. Now is harder and you have chance to bounce even an IS-3 pikenose, so is less effective now, even if it's still fun!

Yeah and thats the purpose of the topic.

Why settle for some fun, when you can have more fun if they gave back the option to install the BL10?

Especially if there was no grounded reason to take away the BL10 in the first place.

If you're bouncing off the IS-3 front...

I managed to bounce a Bl-10 round off the side of an A-20 back in the day - I thought these weird bounces were part of the "fun" you are lamenting is no longer available? :)

This is the perfect case of the IS-3 still pointing at you. But usually he's angled because it's retreating and around 1/3 of the pikenose is better angled. With 260 pen is easier to bounce in this plates and, considering the bad soft stat of the gun, you don't have 3-4 second to aim just at the right plate.

As I said, I would keep the current gun if they buff soft stat so that it can aim in 1 second. ISU already sacrifice all it's long range capabilities for being avarage at most at CQC.

It's a pike nose... It's generally easier to pen when angled...

On the half that get it's angle reduced, sure. On the other side not.

And hitting this last zone happens relatively frequently.

A tank that base it's gameplay on trade and fast peeks should reduce this random chance as much as possible, especially if it doesn't have the armour to compensate for a miss or bounce.

Not intending to fully aim in 1 second. That would need something as 0.3s aim time! But at least to have decent accuracy. Like having, after that time, a 1m large aim circle at 20-30m. It would already be enought to aim at specific plates. So guess a 1.5s aim time would already be enough.
