You're aiming outside the map and render range. As in further than the game expects you to fight. The sight is just compensating for range. As I'm sure you know what happens to shells after traveling for a bit, you just don't notice it in this game as you fire at 150m more so then 1000m.

Looks OK to me.

I think it's a case of PEBCAK.

If it's about how the markers are a pixel off to the left from the centre line, that annoys me too. Second example below is from my Pz. IV H.

If it's not about that, I dunno either.

It isn't the bug that the crosshair "jump" when you aim over an hill from a lower level?
Well it's pretty annoying, a fix would be very welcome.

This one has been irritating me from the get go.

It's like when you aim at a target next to a rock at the top of a hill 500m away. Then he gets despotted. You are not aiming at the air next to the rock anymore. But rather the sky or hill behind it, thus the sight compensates for it. I'm sure most recall the first FL season with the massive aim jump there as the map was 3km long when you aimed at the hill behind something there. And aiming that far made it jump half the screen. That was fixed as shell drops and the shell disappears before he gets that far away. But they let it remain on anything 1200m or closer iirc. Why that distance? No idea tbh.

Yup. It's occasionally really annoying, it especially bugs me in Frontline. Pun intended.

Range compensation became a bigger issue with the HD maps.  Old ones were more enclosed and didn't suffer as much.  I seem to recall that there was a mod that let you cancel the compensation if you were trying to aim at a ridge.  Not sure how practical it was & haven't heard of it for a while.

It's not a bug. Your gun elevates according to where it aims.

Its still bugged in some location, like in Cliff shooting the middle from the south location. I think the rocks Hitbox are bugged.

Some others places where its impossible to get a fix from the crosshair with the enemy tank perfectly visible.

They have solved some of the problems with this patch, specially the arty problems when shooting through buildings, but there are still a few bugs sometimes.

If there's no target under your reticle the elevation may not calculate properly. I primarily notice it in Frontline where aiming for a tank on a ridge will cause my gunbarrel to drop constantly as if I'm not aiming high, only for it to flick upwards as soon as there's an actual tank under where reticle is supposed to be. It makes pre-aiming or target leading at elevation really annoying.
