Hi

Would the controlled impact perk on the EBR line of tanks make them any less flimsy?

I'm not the best in these go-karts and I'm debating Spall, Optics, Suspension, with driver taking Impact on 4th skill. Current config Vents, Stabilizer, Optics.

Just wondering what setup people are using.

Cheers Sidda

Suspension does help as it gives the module more health.

I doubt spall liner will do much since it multiplies your armour and you don't have much to start with.

You could also consider two repair kits (small and large).

When they first introduced it I ran with suspension, two repair kits, and 105 octane fuel.

Vs ramming damage? Vs other lights that are as badly armored or as light as you, then you might notice a difference. But vs heavier meds etc? Not much. But combined with the skill that adds 15%, it will make a difference vs other lights. So unless OP get rammed and bumped often. It's not worth going for tbh.

What do you want to do in them? Scout? Ram? Support fire? As I went for optics, and anything that could help the gun and wheel repair time as a secondary. The tier 8 prem light can't use a rammer, so he uses a toolbox. As I do first passes and then follow the tracked lights to help them counter enemy lights before I do what is needed. Be that damage or some form of spotting depending on map. As without optics you are blind, and effective spotting range vs high camo targets is not far from 100m if they are in cover vs 300m. And dual repair kits for the wheels, removing fire extinguisher. As a large kit also speeds up repair 10%.

So do you spot? Do you use the gun more than the view range? To you feel the wheels suffer too much vs how you want to play it in terms of taking damage? So based on what you feel is lacking for your style in it. That's what you go for. As not everyone plays those wheels the same way. And thus their setup might not help you out that much.

I can report that the EBR 75 rams EVEN 90s quite well regardless.
About 20% HP loss for a 1 hit KO when taking the side at max speed.

Well, it's about time....    I've been doing this since my EBR 75 as well as the Suspension....     I mentioned it to some of the Contributors too in their Video Reviews as a Possible Option, but no one's actually tried it that I am Aware of....    Guido was the only one that actually thought it was an Interesting Concept, but to my Knowledge still hasn't given it a Go....

One the First 3 I made their Skills and Equipment all about the Gun and Gun Handling, with some Scouting thrown In....     So they ended up with the usual Fare of Vent's, Rammer, and, Stabilizer with Camo on their First Skills and the Mandatory S Skills on their Second...     This works pretty well for them, but the EBR 75 having the Autoloader ruined that Recipe.....

That was when I found the Enhanced Suspension, it adds 50% to the Suspension Health and in the EBR 75's case that takes it from 200 to 300 Hit Points, that's a lot of Soak there....      With the First Running of Frontline they still weren't thru their Second Skills which I kept Typical Fare as well so they ended up BiA they came with, 6th on the Commander and Camo for the Rest in the Second Slot....    The Third I went repair on the Commander, Snap on the Gunner, Controlled Impact on the Driver, and Sit Aware on the Radio guy...

These are the Crew going Onward thru the EBR90 and on to the EBR 105 as I just Unlocked that last night....    I chose Controlled Impact because they didn't need Off Road Driving really, though Water Hazards do tend to Bog them Down quite a Bit, and Clutch Braking on these is really a Waste of a Space....       And with the First Running of Frontline, despite their Speed, they were a Very Obvious Target for Running Over with anything Big and Heavy....     Even Scouts tried getting into it, and with the Suspension on there, it Spoiled some days...     Controlled Impact also seems to work well at Ruining their Fun making my EBR Near Unstoppable....

My next Choices are Full repair on the Rest of the Crew which are 95% into their 3rd Skills and getting ready to Roll Over to 4th...    Commander I'll Load Up with Recon since Repairs are Covered already.....    I run just the Base Consumables for Repair and First Aid, but I run an Auto Extinguisher in the 3rd Slot....

I haven't tried Food yet, but I might with the EBR 105...    But my Goal was to make my EBR's as Hard to Stop as was Possible, the Lynx is a Good Armored car as well, and it's Shorter Wheel Base doesn't throw it around like the Lever like Frame of the EBR's does so for now I'm leaving it's Equipment alone...     It's also a Great TD with the Set Up I have on it, Small Target, Nimble, Fast Reload and Aim Time, Roll into Positions Fast, Aim, Fire, Back Out again before anyone see's where it came from....     My 178B and Hotchkiss are Without Crews right now, but I'll eventually get to them because my EBR 90 will be needing a New Crew soon when these guys Move Up to the 105....

And just for a Laugh....

But again, that's why I went this Route for Equipment and Skills.....    If you Count some of those Hits in the Video's to the Wheels, they get Hit alot and depending on How Hard they get Hit, I don't always need my repair Kit....    Hope that Helped somewhat...
