There's quite a few of these around now, when was it available to buy? I might've got one to add to my other OP German premium tank :D

It was part of the black market event a couple of weeks ago.

Ah thank you. They are quite OP, aren't they? If there's some on the red team I head in the other direction.

It was sold for a few hours 2 weeks ago. It went for 5500 gold iirc with 20 000 units. Took about 5 hours to sell all of them iirc.

But most suspect it's the new "M6 Mutant". As in it will most likely appear now and then still. Def during Xmas. As they already sold it once so the population went from 5K to 25K in a few hours. Why not again?

It's basically like the KV-220. A tier 5 turret on a tier 7 hull.

I wouldn't say "quite OP", they have a strong hull for the tier but weak turret and average gun.  They probably don't deserve special mm any more though.

I mostly played mine as YOLO scout in the early days when it was tier 6 with regular mm.

Yep, they've ruined T5 MM. Like it wasn't already bad enough.

More Pz.V/IVs = higher chance of winning. Such balance.

Haven't got the Pz V/IV, but looking at the armour layout on tanks.gg, I dare say that the KV-220-2 has a stronger turret.

Buuuuut there's the thing: even after all those years, there's many people who don't know that they should shoot the turret instead of the hull.

Spoiler

So there's that reason for why they're "OP", the other being that I reckon it is mostly good players who managed to buy one during the black market thing.

It's a stock KV-1 turret. So vs the normal KV-1 it's weaker in that aspect. And the few times I've played mine of late. 90% seems to go for the lower plate still. But if you have a 2nd line gun that knows to go for the turret when you are in the open. Your HP will drain fast. But unlike the KV-220. The V/IV has speed and can ram rather well due to the armor line on the point of impact.

Agreed. I think they distort things more than the E25 in it's tier.

Without question. E25 is quite situational. I'm not saying it's not OP, I think it is. I've had it for years, and it's always been powerful.

Pz.V/IV however is good at almost everything.

it's not overpowered.. the turret is quite weak, like the tech tree pz IV and pz III/IV have, but the hull is strong and most of them spam full gold against you, because either they are too dumb or lazy to aim at enemy weak-spots. that last thing is the main problem about that tank for me.

I just have a feeling WG is doing their absolute best to ruin gameplay and [edited]up balance.

Wouldn't exactly say it's OP, the tank itself is probably one of the best tier 5 tanks but thankfully 90% of players I've encountered in them are complete idiots so it balances out.

This tank is to serve one purpose only, seal clubbing. It thrives in an environment where you have a lot of noobs, ignorant players and stock tanks and crew where most will just auto aim or shoot at the big attractive hull which boasts upper, and for some reason, also lower plate armor values when angled of around 125mm sloped and that's enough to bounce and parry equal and lower tier standard AP shells along with some T6. It's protected from T7 and the likes of E25 etc by pref MM but for that you have the weak alpha gun/pen along with slow shell speed and weak turret.

That's it's secret to success really, the opposition it faces and their typical noob lack of knowledge. It's a disgusting tank in many ways and really only serves to give noobs a bad experience. If it faced knowledgeable players, which it can and does at times, other seal clubbers etc, then it's strength evaporates to nothing for it's entire turret face around the mantlet is one giant weak point of flat 50mm paper that any tier it faces can easily punch through even with HE for full pain along with a big bucket on it's head but again, it's mostly vs auto aim noobs. Most T6 would demolish this thing, T-34-85, Cromie, SU-100, Hellcat, Jackson, M6, KV-2, KV-85, Type64 etc etc etc they should have no probs wiping the floor with this Panzer but again, most the time it's against clueless bobs that are busy looking up at the sky and picking their nose so it doesn't lose as often as it should. More a case of the opposition being weak than this actually being a strong tank. I found its low alpha pew pew gun a bit tedious and grindy so eventually ran out of interest with it, prefer big alpha tanks.

It's a very competitive medium in the hands of a skilled player but in most players hands, it's nothing really special.

This.

Also I tend to see less and less of them now that the novelty has worn off.

I think this perfectly sums up the tank.
