WG please only deduct a day from my premium account when I log in to the game.

The days I do not log in, the balance should remain the same.

Thanks.

Yeah, and whilst we're at it, can I not pay rent on my house when I'm away on holiday for 2 weeks? That would be amazing!

Oh, wait,... No, it seems life doesn't work that way. Nice try though!

Well, there is the ingame option to buy a day of premium time with gold.

Might  be slightly more expensive, dunno.

365 days of premium cost 18.000 gold IIRC

One day of premium costs 250 gold.

250 x 365 = 91.250‬ gold

Over the past six and a half years OP has played an average of 1 game every 6 days. Let's assume he only plays on weekends, so 54w x 250g = 13500 gold. Would still be better off buying the year's worth of prem in the end, realistically.

Especially if you buy it at a 15% - 30% discount during various events. That way the daily price of premium is less than 20 euro cents.

Of course, one might argue that you pay the 'full' price of an AAA game yearly. Then again, I generally get less mileage out of most games in my steam library.

While I am happy with the current system and it is easy to maintain..As you rightly pointed out with rent and going on holiday not wanting to pay (as a Landlord I'd be like "yeah right")..Car insurance and other policies are time linked not use of time.

WG make this quite clear..

But there are other instances you could relate too..You could also see it as a electricity meter - you pay for £50 and it only goes down when you use it, petrol/diesel in  a car it only gets used when you use it.

Interesting thought, though - especially if you are taken to hospital (heaven forbid and I'd wish that on no one.) - But if I were hospital the last thinking I'd think of is "damn it, my premium account is wasting.."

They could change it but they still need to make the same money out of you so the price would go up and you would be no better off.  Accept it as it is or don't buy it.  Maybe buy boosters instead.

When I'm making a purchase of premium time (which I often do), I consider whether or not I'll be playing this game more or less steadily in the following times and i tend to make a purchase that seems reasonable for my wallet.

When I go on holiday I tend to leave some things in my house so I'm still using it. And having car insurance when I'm not driving means I still have cover should it be stolen or someone crashes into it after I've parked and walked away. OP's request isn't unreasonable but it's simply not how WG's premium time works. Judging from the majority of responses so far, I don't see WG feeling any need to change either.

Paid [edited]all for the game ever. Never been worth my while for the times I get to play. Maybe OP needs to look at his work/life balance.

Can I pay my rent every end of the year, so I can calculate the amount of time I was at work, staying at friends, vacation etc and get a discount for that?

Thanks.

you can buy gold with a discount (15%) - its on right now

https://eu.wargaming.net/shop/wot/main/13864/

and then you are waiting for discount of premium account for 15%...

A year of premium account costs then only 80.39€ *0,85*0,85 = 58.08€ or 4.84€ per month.

Option 1)

get premium time only when you're actually using it, but pay the corresponding on-demand prices for it

Option 2)

get long-term contract for premium time at a greatly reduced rate, but accept that some of it will go to waste

Why do you think that the small amounts of premium time are so much more expensive per day than the 30d+ bundles? Exactly, because that discount is to account for the wasted time. Which option is more suited to your situation is up to you.

Yeah and whilst we're at it, can I not pay for the electricity which I'm not using when I'm away on holiday for 2 weeks?

Oh wait, that's exactly how it works.

You are still using the house even if you are not in it. Or could I pay a visit and do whatever I want when you are on a holiday?

OP wants to change time-based subscription to usage-based one.
