A long time unfixed issue: on Siegfried Line assault mode, the spawn at B3 when artillery = instadeath. There is no escape from any med/light rushing the ridge and everyone focuses the sitting duck in the open artillery.

I think it is serious bug that there is a situation in which, no matter how good player is - he is dead at beginning.

I heard that was a thing back when people still played assaults. 

 

If it's still there, sure, it's not fair for slow tanks. I mean, it was unfair already when there wasn't any wheelies around.

WG is busy with more important things.

Things like crew skin and blueprint.

WG may fix this unimportant arty problem in the next decade.

You know, because it is too big effort for a multi billion dollar company.

Getting hit and killed with no possibility whatsoever to fight back or do anything about it? How terrible...  oh wait, that kinda reminds me of something :arta:

Assault mode exists so that people start looking in their game settings to find out how they can disable assault mode.

I think Siegfried Line was one of the greatest motivators for me to permanently turn off Assault mode. Not because of the arty spawn mind you, and incidentally you CAN survive the initial spotrush if you're clever (take immediate cover from spotlines and keep moving unpredictably, enemy arty can't load fast enough to hit you before you get unspotted), but because every map with a hard cover line in the middle makes for horrible gameplay that favours defenders/campers.

I play German SPG's sooo, no, I cannot hide going back or going forward to the bunker, no matter what I do.

Jesus ffing Christ. You realize that i play mostly lights, right? I still don't feel like it's right for 1 player to be dead at start of game, because wg designed map poorly. And THAT is the point.

It is indeed a bug and it seems to be present on every single map and mode in the game not just siegfried line assault. 

They should finally fix it by spawning green arty in the red base. There problem solved.

I turned off assault mode for this same thing... Not for Arty but when I was grinding the Brit Assault TD line, AT8 so slw it was impossible to get to cover before you were spotted and destroyed
