There is a lot, but if I had to pick one - server reticle.

When I first started playing, I had very bad Internet connection. My ping reaching above 999ms was not uncommon. In those cases, nothing would have helped. But when I wasn't experiencing a severe lag spike, my ping would average 100-150ms. Server reticle made a huge difference to my aim. Leading targets was far more reliable. Even now, with my very stable albeit slow connection, server reticle feels like an absolute must.

For you, what would it be?

That u cannot trust the company  :

2 majors problems :  premiums are now cleary stronger that basic tree tanks  ---  MM was more based on equal tiers, tthey revert the process

I wish i would know how much time i am going to waste with this game. Don't get me wrong - i had lot of fun in WOT and i still like it (despise the fact that now i am on a break from it) , but now that i kinda got bored with it i feel sorry a little for all the lost time grinding a lot of tanks that are useless now.

Gameplay wise:

- maybe how to be a little more selfish and don't throw your hp away trying to win the game and expecting your team to help you. I still do this mistake a lot.

- having a better pc. First 2-3 years i played with low fps and over 100 ping, when i got a new pc it felt like a different game.

- i wish i never bought SU122-44 - yeah, it was fun and maybe even a little op when he was introduced, but now is a useless piece of crap. Having 176/216 pen on a turetless td and facing tier 9 is...not fun.

- using food instead of extinguisher, just quite recently i started to regularly use food and it feels nice

That patience is possibly the most important aspect of the game. I bought plenty of premium tanks and time in order to speed along my grinds only to discover that I wasn't particularly bothered about the top tiers when I reached them. I could have saved myself a lot of money and time if I'd only had the patience to stick with a grind or two until I realised.

How to angle and side scrape properly..

Most of the little things that most people dont know are learned pretty quickly but thats one of the few things that took me longer and my brother had to take me into a TR and show me quite abit for me to end up getting a tiny bit decent at it

I regret not knowing from the start that the matchmaking is designed to create unbalanced teams and uses the random rewards gimmick to make it addictive.

Not to touch anything except Russian tanks.

I wanted that Tiger and then played it with 48% potato winrate. Finally ditchced German box tanks and went with Russian heavies... over 55% winrates in pretty much every one of them without any sweat. About or over 60% in most.

I remember playing IS and just wondering how its so EASY to win games with it when compared to Tiger. IS3 vs Tiger 2? LUL. I mean maybe I just got lucky because it's like a cake walk? But nope, the luck stayed...

@TankkiPoju  But would you have been so good with russian tanks if you didn't learn on german ones ?

For my part I played about 100 games in tiers 1 before noticing this "research" button ;)

OP tanks and power creep aren't solvable problems of the game, they are features of the game.

I wish I knew how much I would like the game, and so I wouldn't have sold so many tanks during my early days (including some now rare low tier premiums).

How utterly broken Russia is (Remember the KV1S?)(now we got 279e - 430u with 300mm armor in capola and turret) & that that the game is heavily bias towards Germany would of bailed long ago

Not to play slow HT.

As triple Arty on an open map is just a lesson in frustration.

Would have just played mid tier LT and Meds all the way...

Its whole different style of playing. Much easier to play Russian tanks effectively than Germans, across the board. WoT has been designed to suit Russian tanks, from game mechanics to map design. Camo values are based on tank height, so tanks like 430U get ridiculous camo values despite having heavy tank armor.

Higher alpha is so strong in WoT, it's just massively easier to trade with it against enemies. In additíon. Russian tanks are way smaller and have actually working armor layouts, so they are waaaaay less punishing for mistakes.

Not to mention WG has made several historical Russian tanks just completely false when it comes to historical accuracy, like IS-3 side skirts. And added track links into lower plates and made them into 20mm armor.  Heck, even tier 7 IS has track links in lower plate and they are modeled as real armor. Yet WG insists German tanks cannot have such things because "historical accuracy".

It's just Russian bias, plain and simple.
