In patch notes is say that some of Crew Books could come as Reward for Merit.

Did anybody got any today and which one?

Of course, I don't count small ones for each nation that everybody should get with patch but only ones rewarded as Merit.

I can not play till late this evening but wonder if there is any "drop rate" of those books through Merit rewards....

Me neither and I've done 5 reward merit boxes today, also the droprate for merit boxes is alot less that what it used to be (In this patch or the last few ones,) Which is a good thing!

As it was gettng riddiculus as in the first week when merit boxes were introduced I got over 40 Blueprints mostly for tier 10's...Tank specific.

Had not even heard about those crew books before this thread.

Assuming they will also get such, I guess we have to tell the future n00bs to not apply those free training booklets to the crews on the tier 1 tanks (usually just two men), but wait until they have a proper crew for the chosen tree, at least a four of five men crew.

I wonder how much credits a training manual will cost, but as people asked for more credits sinks it's at least something :medal:

Then again, I wonder how much WG will make from people buying credits for cash to buy *many* crew books :hiding:

2,000,000 Silver for 250,000 Exp per Crew Member - Crew Skills just became a redundant facet as everyone can now rapidly advance their crews with little effort.

Edit: Each 2,000,000 gives 250,000 to all crew members - just to clarify, as rereading I realised my response could be misinterpreted.

Per crew member? I understood the description I linked above such that you get a national Training Manual that equally trains all crew members of the tank you choose to apply it on. Like I buy a German Training Manual, and it will equally train the crew members of a 3-men Leichttraktor or a 6-men JpE100 by 250k exp each.

Which is why I said that people should not apply them to their tier 1 tanks/crews.

Which is a good thing, that it requires less effort and grinding, as the amount of games to get crew skills is terrible especially for newer players and lets be honest the old crew economy was ruined when Free 'skill' Premuim Crews  was introduced..

But I hope WG have introduced a hard limit/cap to crew expreince- after which no further crew experience is accumulated and the maxium number of crew skills which can be obtained per crew man is hard capped even though no one has likely or very few have hit that ceiling yet, well hoepfully!

I think it's a great feature for new players to catch up with the old ones. Buy a low tier premium, grind credits and get 1 skill crews.

Tanks purchased via the Premium Shop usually come with a 100% Crew, and in some cases they come with one skill trained such as BIA (as opposed to purchasing from the Tech Tree).

I meant to say - grind credits with the premium tank and buy books for crews from other nationalities / specialities. I hope it works like that.

The amount of xp they give is far too high, they should limit the crew books to crews with 0 or 1 skill.

I don't know what that's based on, as I received more today then I usually get.

I don't think it is. When you have several skills, they don't make as much difference as when you don't have much skills.

1 thing I'd like to add in case people didn't notice: I noticed something strange: you can not use them on a crew that is not trained for 100% base skill or not trained for the specific vehicle it's currently in.

I received AMX 13 57 as rental and started training a fresh crew in it, for when I unlock the tier 6 wheeled vehicle. I used my EBR 75 FL 10 commander as it comes with BIA as first skill and can train 6th sense before I retrain it to the AMD 178D. The other 2 members are from AMX 13 57. When I want to spend the free book I received I receive this message, which in my opinion is pretty stupid:

if I recal correctly: you get them by:

1 - in the merrit rewards

2 - for specials and events

3 - buying them in the shop

Now we just need crew skills beyond BIA, repairs and 6th sense worth acquiring.

Two million credits for 1st skill.   That will have to wait until I get my next Fort Knox.
