Somehow I'm happy, somehow pretty grumpy.

Same as with KingTiger …. they took many of the suggestions of the forum (change gun and some stats and place it one tier down) to improve the tanks and show everyone "this could have been your dream-tank if we wanted it" but then put it behind a pay-gap (so not available for everyone) and also --- add it to a different nation!!!

Yes, I get it. Germans do have quite a lot of premium tanks..... but to be honest - many want to play iconic tanks AND have fun in them. Right now you only have two options. Play the iconic tank in the correct nation and deal with all the shortcomings that should have been addressed a long time ago or fork over money and play the tank with the crew of a different nation *sigh*.

Yes, this Prem-Panther is still not where it should be (looks like a slightly weaker version of the pudel or the M10) but it would have been a step into the right direction. I don't know. Add a different Tank into the E50-Line, drop the Panther & Panther 2 by one tier each and just put all the 30.xx-Models (except the heavies) into a different line. You could actually build a whole new med tank line with the 30.xx-er tanks if you look at what else they had in store/blueprints. BP's are not the best guide … but looking at the Russian top tier tanks and campaign reward tanks it's not a big issue for WG. Also having three med-lines for a nation also isn't a big deal for WG (how many tierX do the Russians have by now? Tech-tree, not the "bonus-Russian-Tx-ers" ^^). The same with the KT … now we see that the KT could be a great Tank (it actually was in the Beta and after Release in the meta we had at that time -- and while Tiger/Kingtiger still had the "big"engines and the Panther-E50 line didn't catch fire from all frontal shots - as the engine is in the rear but the transmition in the front was tanken as a reason for engine-crit hits wich also cause fire ….) but hey, just not for you playing the German tree. Just be happy you get it at all and start with a new nation. Thx for nearly nothing WG (except the hope that one day the Tech-Tree tanks will get the same treatment as the prems for other countries ….)

The Pudel is a Panther G, this is a Panther A.

You do realize that I've been talking about the stats (ingame) and not the looks per se? The whole post was about the fact that this would have been what they should have done to the panther/panther2 in general (drop it one tier, change it slightly) or the King-Tiger (see the "captured" one) and the fact that it's again a nice rework of the tank which would have benefitted the tech-tree one but again for the wrong country (e.g. you can play your "panther" and have fun with it, just not with your German crews....).

In this regard "it looks like a weaker Pudel" is about the fact, that it's similar to the Pudel but the Pudel seems to be slightly better in overall performance aspects. Yes, WG did their "job" and made the two variants different according to "historical data" of course :teethhappy: .

How it looks is … on a different paper (I've never liked the "Anti-Mine-Paste" look but that's subjective ;):) )

If you an history fan then stay away from these premiums tanks, or world of tanks in general, WG doesnt care about tanks whatsoever, they treat tanks like garbage, German tanks specially are balanced ingame in a way that makes they perform far worse they they did IRL, more specifically the guns, they penetrate a lot less and deal less damage and they should, and generally speaking WG doesnt do that with the tanks of other nations. a clear example is the fact that the panther gun, the 75mm L/70 penetrates and deals less damage than a British 17 pounder, when irl they should penetrate about the same but the 75mm L/70 should deal more damage since it had APHE while the 17 pounder had a mere AP, ingame its the other way around, WG doesnt even try to carry over these very important details that define the character of a tank, instead they do whatever their ignorant, biased and disrespecting employees want, this can be seen across germans guns all the way from 50mm to 88mm clearly, WoT its an unbalanced and more and more p2w game that does very little to honor the beats of metal that made it all possible, other than a pretty model, there is very little there of each tank should feel like. Continue to invest your money in this game, know that doing so you are in fact contributing to the destruction of the very game you are playing.
