... I'm loving it!

First time playing the mode. Played for 2 hours straight, wow time flew. That is the most fun I've had in WoT for quite some time. And the credits... 3 million without personal reserves. That is unreal LMAO.

Thank you Wargaming, for all the bad decisions you are making in the past few years, this at least alleviates some of it. Big thumbs up. :great:

No, quite sane in fact!

Also, what is considered a good base exp game to achieve in Frontlines? My second game was 3512 base exp. What would that equate to in random battles?

No worries, once you start playing it for the rewards and realize you need to spend 2h/ day or more, on the same shitty map, getting defense after defense in a row, you will probably change your mind.

Maybe. Still, very refreshing. WG made something new in a game that was getting very stale for a lot of players, myself included. Whether or not you like it is apparently personal preference, like any aspect of this game I suppose.

How much does one need to grind to get the Emil 1951?

It might already be too late for me as I haven't played FL at all this year.

You can still do it. You will have to put some serious effort in, though.

Oh everyone was like that when they played FL the first time. Come back to us when you have played it for 5 weeks straight trying to get that Pixel tank after ranking up XX times on the same map, doing the same thing, defending the same road... again and again and again.

Tbh I'm not even sure I will bother with FL after I get the Emil. New map to get some variation can't come fast enough tbh.

Oh you need about 4 to 6 hours a day to get at least 2 ranks a week. If you see a few Majors and Generals that is. If not it will ofc take longer.  So you can still get the Emil before the events end if you really grind it. As there are 5 FL weeks left iirc? So If you get more or less 2 ranks pr FL week on the remaining time. You should be able to get the Emil still.

Well that's quite hard to guess. 1400-1500 maybe. Think my PB was a few points short of 4k.

Why get the Emil 1951? I mean, other than the fact that it's the only prem Swede T8 HT, or is that the only reason for some people? Since I came to the party so late, I'll be lucky to get the STA-2, but I'm just curious as to why people would prefer a mediocre HT over a possible dual-cannon ST-II.

I'll never get the T9 reward and even now it looks like the Emil 1951 is a bit far away... Still I'll replenish all those credits I wasted on the Deathstar by trying :teethhappy:

Emil tempts me personally because I'm considering either Kranvagn or AMX 50b as a T10 target.

Well OP, I played Frontline yesterday for the first time. I agree, it's a blast. Not saying I wont get a little bored of it eventually but as a place to earn credits it's perfect. 1 million+ in  3 hours... I'm not as good a player as you OP.!!

How ever, my main reason for playing was to learn the mechanics and qualities/deficiencies of my new tier 8 tanks. I can do this in Frontline for a longer period of time and just come alive again each time I make a mess of it. I can try different things in a real world environment. As a training area, it's really good.

Oh, I would like to say sorry to all the guys and girls in my teams who must have wondered what on earth I was doing on some occassions.:teethhappy:

Yep.....if you've just come into it now then you might think it's OK.

Till you notice that changing the combat reserves means that games are now more of a grind. No longer can the clever, faster tank exploit the map. It's done the usual WG thing of dumbing down the game.

Each game is now just so identical

Fast cap/Defend B first.

Fast cap/Defend A second.

then C...then D or E....then F.

Then the idiots rush to the guns thinking that wins them something.

I'm literally just grinding it for the credits and the tanks now.

That change with the combat reserves just ruined it.

"That change with the combat reserves just ruined it."

Personally I think all should have two then you pick and choose carefully what suits your style.   But I do not feel so dirty in my arty as before I could load up my gun, my arty strikes and air strikes and rain hell on people.   Now I have to think, given my play style, what to pick.
