currently sheridan I believe, that along with t100, are the best ones to play.
The amx 13 105 follows these two tanks.

As tier 8 the bc12t, elc 90, ebr75 and wz132

As tier 9 the t49 and amx 13 90 are excellent lights

My suggestions pretty similar to others, but main issue at the moment is the way wheeled vehicles are affecting the meta:-

Tier 6:    Type 64

Tier 7:    Type 62, AMX 13/57, T71 DA  -  all can be used passive if you concentrate skills and equipment on view range, and both autoloaders are in their element in late game mop up

Tier 8:    M41 Blackdog,

Tier 9:    T54LWT and RU251.  T49 with the derp simply for fun, it is outmatched by the other 2 mentioned

Tier10:   T-100LT, which admittedly is the only T10 I have, and I have yet to make it work, but it has promise and is way better than both German and Chinese alternatives.  I find the EBR's determine how well this tank performs, due to being completely outclassed by them in mobility, which results in you being spotted way to early.

Where did you find the fun with that tank? I bought it back and marked it not too long ago and I found its new single-shooting self to be somewhat of a turd. Thought something was broke when I fired HE so I went to tanks.gg to see what was up. 338 m/s velocity. That was what. Oh and the other shells reaches an impressive speed of 630. A real potato slinger, in other words.

It used to be a lot of fun, but yeh, now it's a turd.

Autoloaders are only allowed on Russian Heavy Tanks it seems...

My favourite go-to scout tank is the Leopard, its view range and camo are great (I basically have to get proxy spotted before anyone knows I'm there), and I can come top three in damage if I get two teams of muppets.

LTTB used to be great and could kill everything, so either I suck these days or it got quietly got nerfed to f**k and I didn't get the memo.

But now there are wheelies and Objs, who cares, everything is ruined.

Yo Commanders!

I recently rediscovered my love for the lights, and wanted to know which light tanks are a must have, especially for clan wars!

Currently I've got these light tanks:

BatChat 12t

59-16

T-50-2

VK2801

T71 DA

AMD178B

MT-25

I'm especially enjoying the 59-16 and the Batchat 12t at the moment, if anyone has any recommendations for some unique or powerful light tanks then please let me know! I need to know what to grind for!

Cheers Chaps!

Toldjah

59-16 was fun until they took its autogun. It had substandard pen but back then you could actually flank.

B-C 12t is prone to fires and flipping. Jumping sideways throws tracks and costs you HP. Sometimes, even if you jump correctly this still happens. The gun works.

VK 28.01 without the durp just isn't worth it.

T-50-2 without the speed or reload (with such a gun, it should reload in <=2s, see Churchil III) is nothing special, leave aside the uniqueness.

MT-25 is a further crippled T-50-2.

AMD 178B is an abortion with wheels for tracks. Nothing more.

T71 DA? Go for it. It's one of the few that still works as before.

Type 64 is a beast. It can reload under 3s (which really should considering its caliber; see T67 for comparison).

AMX 13 57 has low ammo but it pwns when properly driven (like any LT tbh)

M41 90mm as general purpose.

LT-432 for obvious reasons (Soviet Rasha + Armour (though to be fair, all of them have armour) + reload + camo, in case it's not so obvious)

EBR 75 is also pretty darn good. I wouldn't say OP. It's just the other WVs and LTs that suck.

T-54 ltwt. because gun + armour and good speed (used to be better though)

T49, again, obvious reasons

AMX 13 90 is a good assassin.

EBR 105, because an LT's armour is measured in km/h and this one has it in spades.

T-100LT, again obvious, rashan reasons

AMX 13 105, miniature B-C 25t

Sheridan is meh, most of the time but 3K dmg games are possible spamming HE with the durp even without pens.

The rest are garbage, boring af, have nothing unique, are fodder, etc Get mediums instead of those.

I like the LTTB better now with -5 degrees of gun depression (use to be -3) and the option to mount vert stabs. The old one was so incredibly stiff.  :teethhappy:

Still the same fun to drive around with.

edit: its competition is probably harder nowadays though

Nobody has mentioned the AMX12t, it gets blown up easily by HE from the wheelies and the low ammo count and naff gun depression/elevation can be an issue but otherwise I find it more enjoyable than the type64 at tier6

All the usual suspects have been named. There is pretty strong consensus for the good LTs. I'll likely never get a T10 LT as the meta doesn't like them at the top level since everyone has excellent view range. T9 seems very playable tho as I have a 13 90 and T-54 Lwt.

Otherwise the T71 DA is a big favorite of mine, I might even prefer it over the 13 57 as it's a more solid tank.

Maybe because it's one of the most OP tanks in the game.

What about the EVEN90?

Tiny target and a camo rating that it feels like it can only get proxy-spotted.

Acceleration rate and gun handling are terrible, also it doesn't absorb every shell like the ebr.

However if you like passive scouting it's a must have.

EVEN 90 is the definition of annoying sneaky tiny mosquito killer in this game. It's hard not to laugh when planting three shells into a big fat juicy heavy tank and drive away to reload.

And also it's hard not to rage when you try to plant the shells into a heavy tank, and RNGesus says nope and two shots miss and the last one bounces.

This is just my 2 cents based on experience.

Tier 4: Luch. Great active and passive scout. And still a troll bully with the 103 gun. This tank is great for venting after a bad day.

Tier 5: Leopard if you want to bully. Chaffe if you want to spot.

Tier 6: Type 64

Tier 7: T71 DA is still the best light on tier 7. Flexible in terms of spotting roles and can bully with that clip. Type 62 if you see it is not a bad choice. Pre nerf DPM.

Tier 8: Tbh if you just want to spot and do missions. M41 is still solid, or even the ELC even 90. 12t if you want to active. Or you can dip into pre-nerf lights like the German Bulldog. Or the 423 that's a solid all-rounder

Tier 9: 13 90, still the best all rounder on its tier just like the T71. But more flexible IMO. T49 with the 90mm is not bad if you want DPM, speed and spotting.

Tier X: AMX 13 105 or T-100LT

I have most of the low-mid tier lights plus quite a few of the freebies.

Tier 4: Luchs

Tier 5: Leopard, Chaffee

Tier 6: Type 64, 59-16 (more fun when it had the autoloader), VK 28.01 (more fun when it had the derp), AMX 12t

Tier 7: AMX 13 57, AMX 13 75, T71 DA

Tier 8: EBR 75 (FL 10), LT-432

Tier 9: T-54 Lwt., AMX 13 90

Tier 10: T-100 LT
