Hi,

I don't play TDs much. But now there are times I just wanna camp. I also need TD line to do TD missions. Which SPECIFIC TD line would you recommend that I can use to do most of my TD missions for mission campaigns AND is a good accurate camping sniper?

Thanks in advance.

German turreted line, no doubt. Swedish TDs are too inflexible for missions, IMO. Waffentragers have turrets, bigger alphas and better DPM on top of it.

From high tier TD's, I only own Jagdtiger.

I done most of the missions with it and top gun is decent.

German: Borsig at tier 8 or the WT at tier 9

Swedish: UDES, STRV 103-0, STRV 103B

Swedish TDs got very accurate guns and very good penetration. Siege mode could be annoying to deal with and very limited functionality on some maps. Starting from tier 9 they can bounce AP and APCR shells of 121mm caliber or less frontally

German TDs got higher alpha, good DPM too, no armor whatsoever and turrets. For all their faults, the ability to peek around corners is vital in my opinion.

E4 line is what I've used for most. I have a variety of tds though fir specific missions.

Su-100 is great for those "deal x times your HP"-missions.

Swedes are great for dealing dmg while staying hidden.

E4 is great for everything else.

Isn't E4 just another heavy? from what I've seen it seems to be played like a heavy, not so good at camping.

For camping : udes and any of the STRVs.
For deal X amount of dmg : SU100  or his older brother which is one tier higher, that thing is broken in tier VII/VI/V mm.

The e25 is very good at doing some of the missions like shoot 4 enemies without being spotted. I think i did all the stug and most of the t28 in mine

Most of the people here have given you some very good options to choose from, but some lines have certain traits that others do not.

the above mentioned german turreted line features tanks that have rubbish armour, but their guns are real good, and the tiers V,VIII and IX offer two playstyles as well. In fact, from tier VIII upwards, you can ocasionally get away being at the from, but I don't really reccommend doing that :P IMO the tiers VIII and IX are some of the best campy-damagy TDs out there, as they both feature very strong guns and exceptional camo for their tier. the grille which I have currently is better played either from the far far back, or hit & run tactics, due to its unusual terrible camo.

If you want camo and russian bias  I mean russian guns, the ISU line is just solid. Excelent damage dealers, tiers VIII and up can play as assault TDs in some cases. Oh, the tier IX has insane camo vaules for the massive gun it supports, a real gem.

the E4 line is the TD line that it really isn't. Except for the hellcat, all other vehicles play other roles better. The T25/2 is better played as a medium, with the tiers VIII and up as heavies with mediocre armour, but very good guns

the swed line relies solely on people not knowing the overmatch mechanics, the penetration, and the stupid camo. the trade off is that they do not posses a turret, and the siege mode can mean the difference between surviving and not.

td's should be played only for missions. they're the class for dumb arty players because at least they can be useful on most of the map.

For early many the first 2 sets of TD mission you can breeze through them at mid tiers and so need look no further than the U.S. turret class. I think the Stug missions can be done even at tier4 and the T28 mission can be done at tier 5 or 6. These U.S. TD's are excellent snipers with a good combination of mobility, camo, firepower and accuracy. The Wolverine and Hellcat(or Jackson, up to you) have excellent aim times and view range for their tier and the turret gives them flex around the various maps. They also have excellent premium ammo pen to call on too, should you find yourself knocking on the door of completing a tough mission and just want to get over the line or vs a top tier fat meatball tank. The HC will dip into the 3k dmg frequently enough while the Wolverine and even tier 4 options can cross the 2k dmg mark without it being all that rare either.

Depends how may sets of missions you had in mind.

Like I said before, it really depens on the mission. I used the JP E-100 for TD-15 (obj 260), but that German T6 premium for the mission where you have to deal 4x your own hp in damage. The SU-152 was my good friend to deal module damage. The Swedes are great for dealing damage whilst unspotted. The point is: there isn't one best option to grind. Unless you are a super unicum demigod that can do anything in any tank, you will have to look for the right tank for each and every mission. Also, if you think you can do it in a premium tank: do. Quite a few of these missions have requirements that make it impossible to complete the mission half the games you play. If you got to grind, better make some credits while you are doing so.

So, whilst all the td's mentioned in this topic are good for some missions, they aren't good for all missions.
