So, theres gonna be a new T8 czech premium medium tank which is basically a direct competition to progetto in terms of gameplay.

Naturally one then goes to compare the stats.

https://tanks.gg/compare/skoda-t-27?e=30.18.5&c=-1.-1.43&k=0.9&t=progetto-46___5.21.30_-1.-1.46_0.9

Comparison of stats with what would basically be the average setup for each tank.

And then, also naturally after seeing the stats, one has to laugh at how terribad the T27 is compared to progetto... in fact its pretty much worse at everything and is only better at turret traverse and radio range (the better hp/t wont matter because of the ground resistances). And it isnt even like progetto is an OP t8 tank... its basically simply what a solid paper t8 medium should be like. But oh boy, this skoda T27 with those stats will basically join the ranks of panther 88, mutz, CDC and such tanks... :D

EDIT:

To be a bit more constructive, the tank would need these sorts of buffs to be comparable (but still definitely worse... simply an acceptably good t8 medium) to progetto in terms of performance:

- reload from 24 to 20s (so base dpm from 1560 to +- 1800)

- interclip from 1.8 to 1.5

- dispersions from 0.2/0.2/0.12 to 0.18/0.18/0.18/0.1

- VR 380 -> 390

Yup. Not going to get it, and if it is the next marathon tank then I still wont get it.

I'd argue that the Progetto is a bit on the too-good side so it's probably for the best that they didn't put the T-27 on par with it. And hey, at least it's better than its tech-tree counterpart. :D

Pretty much any t8 tank ,medium or not, is better than TVP VTU.

I'm up for a bit of Cz autoloaders as I'm currently running the Skoda at T9 and could buy the T10 whenever I want.

T-27 probably needs higher pen however as Proggy runs 212 and Lorraine 40T runs a stunning 232 base pen.

Cz tank will likely be the 3rd poor relation but we'll see I guess.

It's not like the Czech nation needs a good premium, they already have the Skoda T40... oh wait.

I don't mind much about low pen If it manages above average mobility, speed of progetto would be welcome too. Loved STA-2, spershing etc low pen peashooters before, won't be too disappointed even if t27 is t8 chi-ri.

But won't pay of it if it is indeed t8 chi-ri.

Yes it's in no way all round better than the Pantera. :sceptic:

[/sarcasm]

If the T27 is worse than the Progetto then good, maybe WG learned something.

Progetto is far too strong, tanks like these mess up the balance completely. Of course i would like the Skoda nerfs to be reverted but Progetto is not a good tank for comparison.

the wg must seriously stop selling this tank, it is really carcinogenic in a way comparable to the introduction of the defender or the 268 v4 before the nerf, or when they sell lefh18b2 or e25 again

I really find it absurd that every battle where there are tier 8 vehicles is basically the owner of the field, making the game almost suffocating , making also the other premium tanks of the same level totally useless

I never complained about a tank this way but the wg really has to stop selling the progetto 46 , everything under this tank is mere garbage

Has made the FL a pathetic jumble where people only play this tank and it's annoying to see it in such so absurdly numerous way in tier 8 games like skirmishes and team battles ...

really ... stop selling it wg .. stop hurting the game

Same thing every time WG bring out a new tank that's actually balanced, some donkey claims it's worthless.

This is the reason WG release OP tanks, it's what you demand from them.

Eventually the crying will most likely result into WG buffing the stats, and then after release the crying starts that the tank is too good... It honestly sucks that now that we are finally getting balanced premiums (which people here claim to want to happen) and then the balanced tanks get called trash. Playerbase seems to be once again the root of the problem.

Block Quote

- reload from 24 to 20s (so base dpm from 1560 to +- 1800)

- interclip from 1.8 to 1.5

- dispersions from 0.2/0.2/0.12 to 0.18/0.18/0.18/0.1

- VR 380 -> 390

Funnily enough these were more or less it's stats before it got ninjanerfed very recently. It still had 1.8 sec interclip reload but it had even better handling than your proposed version and it had 50 more HP.

No clue why it got nerfed anyway, it already was inferior to Progetto by a solid margin. Progetto is arguably a bit overtuned (not by much but still a bit too good, it's mostly the gun handling that bothers me), but in my eyes the Skoda was perfectly fine before the changes. It was basically a tier 8 Skoda T50. It still has a fast autoloader without too gimped gun stats so it still should be okay and it's automatically significantly better than Panther 88, CDC and many other crappy tier 8 MTs...but yeah. If you got a Progetto, this thing is more or less useless, unless you absolutely need a tier 8 Czech MT crew trainer. That being said, it's better that it's released as too weak than as too good, because at least it can be buffed later on. It can't be nerfed once it's released, so theres that.

It also has a proper gold value now, so the stats are most likely final and it should be coming very soon.

Well, since the Proghette is too good (evident by the fact it's defacto in competitive modes) it suits WG to start out low with the T27 and potentially buff it.

Although for WoT in the long run it would be better to nerf the Proghetto instead but WG will never do what's best for WoT, only what's best for their wallet.

Well, WG will just release even more OP premium tanks, so I guess even Progetto will be "nerfed" eventually.

1. WG have re-learnt the lesson not to introduce over powered Premium tanks. This is a good thing, stop complaining.

2. If the Skoda T27 sells badly, then possibly WG will consider light buffs to assist with sales at a later point. Releasing it slightly undercooked is much better than releasing it slightly OP.

3. STA-2 was buffed recently and is an improvement. Mutz recent buff might not have gone far enough.

4. In FL my tank choices are usually (i) Progetto, (ii) Lorraine 40t, and (iii) T44-100. Clearly the Skoda T27 is not going to knock the Progetto off the number one spot, but how will it be compared to the Lorraine 40t and the T44-100?

Tanks like FCM 50t were the best when they were released. So was Type 59. AMX CDC was once considered as best tier 8 medium tank.

It has been power creep ever since 2011.

Just a thing. In this compatison, the Progetto46 is taken as a single shell tank, as you can clearly see where reload time states 6.5 seconds. You should compare the two after both have fired all their shell, to see the effective DPM to compare both, as I never see people using the autoreloading as such, but as an autoloader.

I beth that the Progetto46 effective DPM as an autoloader won't be far different from the one of Skoda.
