The problem the game faces and the inadequacy of the developers to solve them or their pure ignorance are spelling the end of a great video game I love and don't wanna see go down like this. I played WoT for 7 years and I must note that when I started playing back then, there were not many bad things about it. The main two things that needed work back then were the artillery and sometimes gold ammo.

Back then you could buy gold ammo only for gold which kind of made it rarely seen at least from my experience. Now, arty was annoying but as I also played arty, I saw it as karma. The perfect solution for arty for me would be nerf their accuracy and ROF but leave them their AP(sure it was fun to take from somebody 1800hp xD but this their tendency to bounce, hit tracks etc. as well as nerfed accuracy and ROF would make them extremely unreliable. I would use them in close quarters self-defense and would stick to HE normally).Gold ammo for me can be balanced easily by nerfing their DMG, however their few vehicles that are heavily reliant on it(FV 183 etc.) They should be carefully balanced. WG thinks about increasing the alpha and HP of all vehicles but whether it will work or will it ever happen and when, nobody knows... But enough for the past.

What are the problems now? Well, in my opinion

problems are the unaddressed previously mentioned problems, removed maps, p2w premiums, heavily overpowered tanks(as well as underpowered ones...), the new wheeled tanks, personal missions, to some degree the whole RNG mechanism. For all this time what WG did for arty and gold ammo? Well, gold ammo was made available for credits so everybody can use it which is double-edged blade for the simple reason that once everybody can use it, it's no longer rare and tanks that previously were often played are now incredibly hard to see in battle (E-100 and IS-4 comes to mind). Tanks that now rely on armor are pretty much spammed to death with gold the pretty much negates their strong features.

As for arty, it was deprived of it's AP, (except for the premium ones of course),nerfed penetration on HE  and were given new stun mechanic, increased accuracy and ROF. What did that change? For me personally it made them in some some cases annoying to play with and against them as well as OP in some situations.

Imagine playing playing Maus on Prokhorovka with 3 arties on the enemy team...you are breakfast on tracks. You get the idea. As for premium vehicles E-25, Scorpion G, Defender, Chrysler etc. are good examples for tanks with unfair advantage however Chrysler takes bulshittery to whole new level. Not only it has too much armor for the regular tier 8 to deal with without gold but it's gun lacks penetration too so you must fire gold ammo to be useful which kills credit making potential. It's a lose-lose situation. Do you remember Dragon Ridge, Hidden village, Komarin, Pearl river, Port, Northwest, Sacred Valley, Severogorsk, South Coast etc.? There long gone now and will probably never reappear. In my opinion this were some wild maps which had place in WoT and were worth it some rework. Tier 10 LTs are in my opinion useless except one: EBR 105. They have no real advantage over tier 9s LTs. Their penetration drop off is higher and have worse base view range than mediums. The idea was such that if they nerfed view range and guns on LTs, people would rather invest in traditional LT equipment for spotting. It failed, and there is literally no point in playing tier 10 LTs for spotting. They were forpletely done for with the release of YOLO EBR 105. As for personal missions, they were great, great addition to the game with some unique tanks as a reward. However some of them are too much reliant on map and mm. MT-15 is good example(DMG to TDs). You can play 100 battles with only a few that even have enough TDs to be able to complete it. I understand they are supposed to be hard but I am not ok to have no chance completing them most most of the time. And finally, the RNG. How are you even supposed to be skilled if your accuracy and DMG are decided from some stupid RNG. You can be 50m away from somebody and still miss although your gun looks like if you move a little bit closer will actually touch him. That's my personal opinion. I am not the best player but I think many people share at least partially my opinion. That's all I had to say.

Some salient points (I agree with most ), but buried and lost in a mass wall of text.

We all are going to die. I'd wager a game before most of us. And the next game, and the next... Nothing prevents it, devs could give rats piss about income and do everything according to your (mine, poster above etc) whims and see their ship sink faster, and so forth. Keeping most unhappy but not pissed while doing money isn't really anything new, most governments do the same quite succesfully.

This only the 1000th thread about the same prophecy...

WoT is going to die...but that'll happen when the Earth explodes. So, not in the foreseeable future.

Remember, it’s better to be a bitter, salty, malcontent than to be a happy, upbeat contributor

All things have a shelf life...

You've played for 7 years so are probably bored now.

I played WoWS for a good few years but stopped in January as I felt it got stale.

No salty posts from me regarding that however. Sometimes things run their course so just move on...

Here is the thing. What works for you in terms of balance, might not work for others there again. And they leave the game for "dead" when you stay. So WG has to meet in the middle on most stuff vs your liking. As there is no such thing as pleasing everyone. Nerfing gold ammo damage on HE or HESH? Sure. Already did that with the Type 5. But APCR and AP? It will just give power to the wrong tanks. Like the Defender vs the outdated IS-6. Or even the T32 vs the VK-100.01. Fun fighting those with 1200 DPM right?

But it made old players come back. As they were not smacked for 2000 damage by a T92 anymore. I got half my friends list back that day. I did not lose half my list.

Do you want to know what game did try with zero RNG? That other game that's actually dead. And that's one of the reasons for it.

And I don't miss a single one of them besides Port. Port was removed for mechanical reasons. As it was mostly just walls. The others were removed as we only used 10% of the map. Dragon Ridge was a 15 vs 14 lemming fail on F9 just about every game. South Coast half the HT's never left base on the Southside. If I still had to play the same fail on those maps today. Then the game would have been dead for me already. But it's not.

Hmm... Spurious insults betray the writers age and mentality. There were some valid points raised there by Kikepo, and to me the quoted comment adds nothing to the debate, and simply allows an inadequate personality to insult people from afar in such a way they would never dare to do face to face in a bar. Such people, stop wasting server space with your playground style insults.
