Greetings WG staff and players

I have an idea and your opinion is needed, as a DOTA player we have in our game skins and taunts for the visual effect but you don't need to purchase it to see what it do or how it looks you need just to press "Demo hero" to start with that skins. All im saying is we should have a "Demo tank" to test it and see it in a non-multiplayer battle. I'm waiting  the CT server to come online but it seems it wont.

And plz add "servers status" button in the worldoftanks.eu site for info

have a nice day :)

If you just wanted to see how it looks you can access a preview via the tech tree.

Agree it would be nice to have an in game demo drive in a bootcamp / training room type environment rather than downloading/waiting in test server.

Server status and anything related to it is via the player support button at the top, and via the lower left coner on that page.

As for demo's? Well it's been asked about before. Special skin tanks etc you can preview via the comparison tool to see how they look. Other special skins usually have a preview image in the store, not in-game. And testing in game via a private room? Well the reason given why it's lacking given by WG is the same as always. Server capacity. If they did do it, it would still need to be limited, as boot camp etc already is. As making a single room for 10 000 "testing" alone, even on tanks owned or not. That is 3x more rooms then getting 100K players into 15 vs 15 battles. IIRC boot camp is capped at 3K. But how much that is in use atm? Who knows. But they could share that capacity it if they added a preview mode. But if that would be enough is a different matter.

Like a shooting range?

Yeah it'd be nice for us (the end-user), but in the end it would make a dent in WG's profitability, most likely. And guess what WG cares about most.

Idea. Why do we even need to be online when testing things? You could easily do the test completely locally, no need to create another server instance for that, you're going to be doing it solo after all, so why the need for the server? Tons of other games feature such functionality. Server is for connecting and synchronising games with more than one player, when there is one player there is no need for the server.

Exactly. Long ago I used to play a game called Crossfire, and the game featured guns which you would grind ingame currency for, and of course, there were premium guns which had to be purchased by real money. And you could pick every one of them and take it to the shooting range to see how it behaves.
